For the last week I’ve gone a little too hard with all my time off, so of course I decide to get back on track the one day of the year I can get a free donut!
(Pretty sure free food is free of calories?)
One can dream!
On a side note, if you’ve never put sriracha on your eggs, I strongly advise to try it!

Anyone else having a hard time staying on track?

I haven't lately because I have changed my mindset. Changing my "relationship" with food, and how I view it, has really helped. I had the same problem in the past. I'd try dieting and then there would be free cookies or free pizza at work and would be like "Seriously, today!?" and give into the temptation. Now I don't care.

I view food as a fuel, while a fuel I can enjoy, instead of a treat or something that has to be super delicious or has to be eaten because it is there. It has made a huge difference for me.

    Wish you the best!

@clobern80 I do for the most part use it as a fuel, and I pack a lot of smaller snacks for work, just in case we happen to have a surprise pizza day at work!
That keeps me on track for the most part.
It’s more so when you fall off it’s hard to get back on it!
@Will_Workout_for_food, every now and than it’s good to cheat. My cheat meals can put some to shame! Lol.

This is one of those "spells" where I'm doing well using food for fuel and nutrition. All my calories have a purpose now, so the donut isn't even on the radar. Get me during one of those other "spells" and a firing squad couldn't keep me from that donut.

I only consider falling off giving up. If I have a day that doesn't work as planned, the next day I can change that. Don't discourage when it happens, just make that change the next day and continue moving on :)

I can get a free doughnut today?! And to think I paid for one at the grocery store today. Hmph!

I just stayed home today. I had nowhere I had to be, the temperature is 95 degrees out, and I'd have to drive halfway across town if I wanted a vegan donut and I don't need Krispy Kreme taunting me.

I celebrated National No Donut Day in my nice air conditioned apartment and dug out my swimsuit to get a jump on summer. Nothing like trying on a swimsuit to evaporate the temporary appeal of a donut!

100%. months ago, I meal prepped, tracked calories and macros to within 5%, and it drove me INSANE.

nowadays, I splurge every day, as in, ill have 1 cookie, ill have a small serving of chips, and yes, I did have 2 donuts today. it does not ruin your whole progress. just work out extra hard to earn these little temptations. its much better for your mental state of mind.

    YMMV of course.
    I agree
