I’m in. Was feeling so much slimmer – and then I looked at my weight report for the last year and realized I was 162 one year ago … so since Feb. I’ve lost the weight that I gained the 8 months previous. The reports don’t go back that far but I think that I joined when I was freaking out about hitting 160 in 2015. All of this just reminded me how much we adjust to a new “normal” and to a) realize I’m not slim, better than I was but still much, much to go, so don’t get sloppy in my new habits b) celebrate the little victories but also keep an eye on the long term goal.

5/31 - 162.8 Glad it is not worse. Two more high stress days with lots of running around & internal wondering how to get everything done at home before going on another trip.
6/01 – 162.4 Home all day today except for gym. Yay!
6/02 – 162.6 Did go to the gym but did snack a little in the evening, arg. So, inner self, how does snacking in any way help the fact that a deer disfigured the Japanese Maple that I’d just planted this spring and was coming along so nicely? If I can break that link, frustration/worry=snacking, I think I’ll have success.
6/03 – 163.4 Too much fat yesterday. Now I have a headache, feeling generally draggy and retaining water.
6/04 – 162.8 Have to be more diligent charting the calories so I don’t go over in the evening. I don’t think I’m doing too bad but too busy and a little extra can sneak in so easily (and turn out to be more than a little!) Gym today but two evenings out so have to be vigilant and plan ahead.
6/05 – 162.4 Would sure like to get past this barrier.

I'm putting the Keto experiment on hold because, in a lot of ways, I'm not feeling all that good right now. I'm going to stay at a much lower carb intake, integrating some fruits and vegetables while continuing to focus on eating healthy fats (instead of the crap I used to eat). I'm going to stay away from processed sweets and crappy processed snack foods. Edit: Keto is back on 100%. Thank you "The Magic Pill" for setting me straight.

5/28 = 192.2 (-1.8), BF% = 15.5. I got started a little later than usual today, so this might not be perfectly accurate, but it should be pretty close. Last night wasn't impulsive. I'm definitely taking a break from Keto. I'm trying to decide which carb number I should shoot for. I'm thinking 100, but I'm going to do some reading. I wasn't very consistent last round with tracking my body fat percentage. I'm going to commit to tracking it every day.
5/29 = 194.2 (+2.0), BF% = 15.7. Got a little too "snacky" yesterday. Ate when I wasn't hungry. Allowed myself to eat a couple of things I haven't been able to eat in the past few weeks. Went about 300 calories over maintenance. That being said, as mentioned yesterday, my weight likely wasn't all that accurate when I weighed myself yesterday (weighed myself at the "correct time" today). My goal for today is to remember only to eat when I feel hungry. I tracked everything yesterday, so that was good. I'm feeling okay. This is actually not feeling like a cause for alarm. Rather, it's a signal that I need to be paying attention to how I'm feeling and what I'm eating right now.
5/30 = 193.8 (-0.4), BF% = 15.6. I was much more under control yesterday. Ate with my macros, no crazy binges, stayed away from sweets for the most part (and slightly under calories). I decided to adjust my weekly goal to 1/2 a pound per week (from 1 pound), as I'm getting pretty close to my goal weight.
5/31 = 193.8 (no change), BF% = 15.6. I felt like I ate a little heavy during yesterday, but after tracking everything I think I was slightly below maintenance. I had a fantastic dinner that I normally would have completely scarfed in one sitting. This time, however, I ate half of it, I did it mindfully, and I have half of it today for either lunch or dinner (probably dinner). I have basketball tonight for the first time in a week, and I'm going to go to the gym as well. I feel pretty good that I have been able to maintain since putting Keto on hold, particularly since I haven't worked out for the past week. Full disclosure regarding my decision to put Keto on hold; it actually didn't feel that hard to do. While that's generally a good thing, I tend to get into a groove when something is working well, which makes me less vigilant/questioning. I have some questions regarding the long-term health effects of the Keto lifestyle, and I need to do some reading before I get back into it. Can you remind me of some of your favorite Keto resources @quiltingjaine ?
6/01 = 194.4 (+0.6), BF% = 15.7. I'm not 100% sure why my weight is up a bit, but I'm going shopping today to get my butt back on Keto. "The Magic Pill" was pretty damned inspiring. Played basketball last night and went to the gym, and get pretty good at both. My back signed up a bit, though it feels okay this morning.
6/02 = 195.4 (+1.0), BF% = 15.7. I had a busy day today, so I'm posting late. I thought yesterday went pretty well, even if the scale didn't agree with me. My chiropractor was able to sneak me in for an appointment, which was great, because I needed it badly. I'm a little confused by my weight gain, but I'm going to try to just let it go.
6/03 = 195.0 (-0.4), BF% = 15.8. I felt fantastic at basketball yesterday. My shot was fine, but I really just felt comfortable playing; I could jump, run, and move without pain. It's hard for me to know how much of this is my 30-pound weight loss, and how much of it is related to my general Keto goodness. The truth is, I don't care what it is. Yesterday was a great day. I went to a party in the evening and stuck to hard alcohol plus calorie-free mixers. They had a "taco truck" setup for dinner, and stayed away from everything carb (ate carne asada, chicken, and al pastor meats they had there). Getting a tiny bit frustrated with my weight (lack of progress), but I'll power through this.
6/04 = 194.0 (-1.0), BF% = 15.7. WHOOSH™! Finally! I ate well and within macros, but I've been doing that for a while. I'll take it! Basketball and gym tonight!
6/05 = 192.0 (-2.0), BF% = 15.4. Another WHOOSH™!! Basketball wasn't as great as Saturday, but I didn't get hurt, so it was good enough. I've been eating really well. And I needed this drop. Working as a poll worker this election. All day until 8 pm.

30: We had an 18-hour delay on our flight because of storms in Minneapolis. I ended up spending 9 hours on a plane, only to land back in Denver where we started. Slept at the airport, and finally made in all the way home at 11pm. I did really, really well with intuitive eating until living at the airport and on planes for so long.
31: I didn't weight in. Spent the day in bed until about 1:30pm. Holy jet lag!
June:
1: 203.4... Up 2 pounds since my vacation started. I imagine it's all water weight. There was not sufficient access to water on the 3 flights it took to get home, and I certainly didn't get enough yesterday because of sleeping so much. Back into a normal flow today, so tomorrow's weight should reflect that.
2: 201.4... I'm curious now if I did actually lose weight on my trip. Maybe there's more water weight to come off because of the 24 hours it took to travel home. I'm taking the family to a movie in a few minutes, and I always have popcorn. I'll try to keep it to a reasonable amount though. I'd really like to see onederland this round, so that'll keep me motivated.

6/04 – 170.4 lbs – Almost under 170 lbs! My goal is to get to 165 lbs and then take a break from being in a caloric deficit and do a “maintenance period” for about a month. However, I am traveling internationally for 2 weeks this month, so if I don't reach 165 by the time I leave I may just go into maintenance at whatever weight I am at for the vacation. I have lost ~11 lbs since February but am very guilty of fluctuating between winter and summer. Like a lot of people, I typically lose weight easily in the summer and then put it all back on come wintertime, and sometimes put even more on! I am hoping that if I take a month off in the summer I will be more likely to succeed and stick to it come fall/winter. Then maybe I will aim for another maintenance period once I reach another milestone. If I can reach 160 lbs by November, I think having the goal of maintaining 160 lbs through December is much more realistic than trying to continuously lose weight throughout the holidays!

You are so close to onederland! Everyone hovering at 201/200, good luck! It would be wonderful to begin a new round in the 190's!
tiabirdie56......yep, I'm one of those bouncing around the 199's. Last round I bounced around 201 for quite a few days. Now it's the 199's. I'm doing everything right, but this past 1/2 month that scale isn't rewarding me much. I have faith it will....eventually.

6/01 162.4 lbs puzzled why it happened even though I was under calories.
6/02 163.2 lbs. Might be high sodium food yesterday and surplus 200 calories. I ran after a long time but as obvious you can't outrun a surplus diet.
6/03 162 lbs whoosh effect?
6/04 163 lbs no wonder! Had a family birthday party ate some cake,icecream and chicken, over by 250 calories and sodium bit high. Just want 1 lbs down this round, so today kept calories under and walked 14000 steps for damage control.

5/28 - 129.2 - yesterday gave up on everything. Not my best day
5/29 - 128.8 - yesterday logged food, stayed under maintenance, nice hike in the hills in the heat with hubs 5 miles, 600' climb, 85 degrees - hello summer, suddenly
5/30 - 128.8 - yesterday logged food, stayed under maintenance, took a walk at lunch and at least got 10K steps. Didn't oversnack on writing group Tuesday (yeah that's a thing).
Still feeling some anxiety during the day but I have slept well 5 nights in a row. Knee a little sore from Monday's hills I guess, wearing zero-drop runners to work
5/31 - 128.0 - yesterday logged and right at maintenance, 8K steps but knee is still ditzy.
6/1 - 127.8 - yesterday logged and just under maintenance, 6K steps just doing life, knee still fragile. Today - stay strong and don't eat 'em while I can't burn 'em. My pattern is: lose the weight, get injured exercising, be unable to discipline myself to drop cals from 2000 back to 1500 maintenance, regain the weight......
I AM STILL HERE LOGGING SO I WILL NOT DO THAT AGAIN, because (newsflash) losing the same 15-20 over and over is hard on my body!!! So this is my first big test: some pain I would be an idiot to exercise around. Got to drop the calories. One day at a time!
6/2 - 127.6 - yesterday just a smidgeon over maintenance calories, still babying sore knee, to bed early. Succeeding in logging food every day. Working out some exercises I can do with a sore knee, but unfortunately those don't really burn many calories...
6/3 - 127.2 - Yesterday logged all food, under maintenance calories and got in 30 minutes on an elliptical and some planks and crunches and pushups and stuff. Knee still sore when running but, I am proving to myself that I can work through a setback without regaining, in fact cruising back into the middle of maintenance zone. So yay!
6/4 - 127.6 - Yesterday a squidge over maintenance and managed no exercise, but logged. Very emo day; again, settling into maintenance it's good to have an emo day with a few extras but log, not continue the extras, feel pretty in- the-saddle with regard to my choices (as opposed to feeling dragged behind the horse)
6/5 - 128.2 - Yesterday under maintenance, 30 minutes elliptical, and 10K steps. Mind whirling all night, little sleep.

@brightresolve, I'm so sorry that you're going through a difficult time right now. I have an active mind and have trouble sleeping at night or sometimes, after a very active day, I'm too amped up to fall asleep. Magnesium oil has helped me tremendously. If I use it at any time during the late evening or right at bedtime, I sleep all night. Maybe it could help you to get some sleep too.3 -

5/28- Made a list on improvements, eating, exercise and my goals to work on.
5/29 - Watched my food choices. Ate at home instead of going to a restaurant. Went for a long walk after dinner.
5/30- Today I was bit of a picky eater. Had a MRI -was not enjoyable.
5/31-Big improvements in my overall health, starting to feel back to myself, staying active.
6/1- since my surgery I am having a real hard time losing my weight because I had to take steroids. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat. Going to the doctors Tuesday - have it checked out. Good walking steps.
6/2 Today did not eat what I am suppose, back on track tomorrow.
6/3 Ate healthy today, have to be more consistent on my exercise.
6/4 weighed and watched my portions. (smaller portions)

5/28 136.5 WHOO HOO! Almost no carbs yesterday. Tracking again. It makes a difference. Almost 100 posts to read! Home from community picnic. One hamburger, one hotdog, a thin slice each of tomato and onion. I pinched a teeny bite of cookie from DH - 3 raisins and not much else!
5/29 137.5 Too much salt in the evening. This too shall pass.
5/30 137.5 Hurt my foot yesterday. A board fell over on it. Not a big board but it is swollen and bruised. I’m going to water fitness anyway and will see what I can do.
5/31 136.5 The bruise is fading but it still feels as if I’m walking on a cotton ball.
6/1 136.0 We took a road trip yesterday so I stayed off my foot most of the day. Swelling and bruise almost gone. Ate French fries yesterday, we’ll see if that causes a problem in a day or two!

6/4 135.5 I ate something late because I had only had about 300 calories for the day. I need to stop doing that. I wasn’t hungry - that is what Keto does and it’s a signal that I am in ketosis and my body is using my fat stores for fuel. On the bright side, I put the Zumba DVD in and started learning some of the steps. I have 2 left feet!
6/5 135.5. Adjusted my macros so will work with these numbers for awhile and see what happens. I’m a work in progress! YIKES! Busy morning and I forgot to post! Haven’t read any posts!6 -

5/28. 200 lbs. logged EVERYTHING I ate today. I had to force myself to do so. I can fool the apps but my body is showing what I eat anyway!!! Might as well be real with the apps!
5/29 199 lbs. logged everything- went over calorie limit by 39. Tomorrow I will work hard to not go over the limit. Planning is the key.
5/30 199 lbs. logged everything. The ugly lunch and the hideous dinner. I was all set to eat chicken breast and veggies for dinner. Then I saw krispy Krunchy chicken on 125th st. I HAD to try it. Oh my was it disgusting. Gotta kick the habit of every new place I see, I gotta try the food. The majority of the time, I am disappointed in the taste of the food.
5/31 199 lbs. honest logging still going on. Unfortunately I didn’t eat enough today. Know planning helps with this. Will do so on Saturday.
6/01 195 lbs didn’t eat enough today. But I did eat my pretzels. That was good for me.
6/02 192 lbs ate healthy for breakfast and dinner. Ate pretzels for lunch (that’s what I wanted). Will not have pretzels on Sunday. Might help me eat healthier.
6/03 192 lbs. did not have pretzels today. Instead I baked the #2ingredientdough and #2ingredientpineapplecake. I only ate one serving of each. Proud of myself. Man am I stuffed. Did 2.5 mile run this AM in park - doubly proud because I ran the entire thing. Getting back into the swing of running. Power walked 1 mile this AM also. Finished off today with several 30 day challenges Had more simple carbs today than usual. Let’s see if it affects me in the upcoming days.
6/04 189 lbs. Did the 30 day challenges this morning. Power walked 2.3 miles 12:30pm. Took cardio sculpting class from 6-7pm. Only had enough calories to eat 20 pretzels. That’s what I did. I actually didn’t think I could leave pretzels in the bag. But this and the other challenges I am in is making me even more aware of my eating habits and what I can do to change them.
6/05 189 lbs power walked for 1.03 miles this morning followed by a 1.64 mile run and ended with various 30 day challenges. Had to work late and I couldn’t make the cardio sculpting class (darn it!), so I did a brisk walk for 2.66 miles. Still honestly logging everything I eat.
