Any post-menopausal, feminists out there - I'm new and need a mentor!

Hi - just starting this process. Have about 35 pounds to lose to get to my goal (205/160). I have a LOT of shame and guilt around the weight I have put on - and my failure to stop it. So, hoping that a combination of exercise, tracking my food, meditation, and self-care will help. Tried WW, but didn't really fit in. Tried Always Hungry and liked it, but too easy to slip. Love making recipes from Skinnytaste and LaLoosh. Just cooking for me and the hub since the kid is now in college. Please, someone, help me stay connected here and to my goals!     I put on 28 lbs immediately after going through menopause. I lost it here on MFP 3 years ago. I'm mostly maintaining now, with some struggle. Avatar is my daughter and her bird at the moment, not me! Feel free to friend me if you'd like.

    Thanks! I'll definitely be friending you - just gotta figure out how! Day one went iffy - kinda broke it with a small bowl of the pasta I made my son. But today is a new day!
