Sixers LOVE Yourself Challenge Week 6 (final week)

Hi guys. I'd quote the questions and answer them directly but too many of you asked about me to quote.

I went out and bought a journal. Just finished writing in it a few minutes ago. Letting the pain flow out my fingers, into the pen, and leaving it in the ink on the page. Releasing as much as I can. I am getting over much of the hurt and moving into some pretty rough anger right now. I'm sure I'll experience every emotion in the spectrum during this separation and divorce.
I have been 2 nights binge free, maybe even 3. I am getting there. I went over on calories last night by accident with dinner, but ate nothing after dinner. Very proud of myself. It's funny how I went from doing so well on my diet/healthy lifestyle, to crashing so hard, and now being proud of the baby steps to get back to 'okay'.
My mom and dad gave me a bouquet of flowers for Valentine's. Red and yellow and purple flowers. Bright and cheery. (I'll cry about how sweet it is later, and how my husband is worthless in taking care of any of my emotional needs.)
I missed yoga, which I had planned to do today, due to hubby calling and pissing me off. Can't do yoga with steam coming out your ears, and the anger was too fresh to try to dull. I'm going to go run later, or do the elliptical. Whatever. I will be in the gym in about 20 minutes doing something.
I am reweighing again today, LOL, but I was back to 160 on Monday, up 1lbs from the start of this challenge. That is okay.... maintenance was my goal and I mostly succeeded.
I hope you all are doing well. I hope to do personals soon. So many surgeries within our little group, so much change in our lives! We are one helluva group!! :drinker:

Lauryn- I am so glad you are taking those positive steps. So good to hear. And hey, doing the binging and you are only up 1 lb from the start of the challenge....I know it isn't idea for you, but it is SO much better than it could be.
I am so thankful for this group. I cannot tell you how appreciative I am for you all letting me join.
The fam and I are headed to the YMCA to swim. Then a local church is offering free sitting so hubby and I get a date. YAY! Have a great night ladies!0 -
had a nice evening at the pampered chef party. thinking of doing it. didn't care for the meal she cooked and there were just chips and candies, and some fruit to eat. so just had a few (1/4 cup if that) and 2 candies. didn't get to the fruit. too many people in the way. so stopped at subway on the way home and got the grilled chicken on a flat bread. got home cut it in half and had about 7 pringles. it is 10 at night. so late to eat. but, was hungry. i gave myself a pat on the back for that one. even though i did go over calories today either way.
saw shanell and she has been lurking and eating. now she tells me her TOM is next week. she has to get her mind set back again. i think she will do it, when she is ready.....
i am pooped so off to bed. SIL told me that it wasn't suppose to rain all day tomorrow. good want to get my new pretty flowers planted.

So ladies, I registered for a 5k run that takes place MARCH 8TH!!! :noway: I figured I'd give myself a soon up-coming and significant goal to try to achieve and do my best to fulfill it! Did pretty well today - best day in over 3 weeks, that's for sure!! One day at a time.0 -

pedal....congrats on the good day of eating and signing up for 5K. i was thinking of signing up for our bridge run. just not run it. will have to see how far it is, price and all that....
DH taking me shopping for valentine's day. i can do that. don't know if i will get a chance to plant flowers today. rain, dog out from next door (a mean pit). pound doesn't come out on weekends. he comes into my yard barking at me. he always gets out. frustrating, cause than i have to watch my own dog in my own fenced in back yard. don't want this pit jumping the fence to get him. mine just a fat little min pin. i haven't heard him bark for awhile, maybe the owner found him out again. hope. anyway. babbling on. going to go and get dressed to go shopping. we like to get out early in the morning. thighs still real sore today again. will take a bath tonight might help some.

Hey Ladies!!
Just thought I would say hi!! I am currently stuck in the Denver airport, my flight to Vail has been cancelled twice (once last night and once this morning). my sister and her husband are currently driving from Vail to pick me up so that I can actually enjoy the weekend!! They are the greatest!!
Anyway, not much else, except the airport has a Caribou Coffee (we don't have them in my town) and I've already had two lattes. with whipped cream. oops. :blushing:

I'm around. Haven't felt very positive to be on here lately and haven't even really been on the computer alot lately either. Sorry. We were going through lay offs at work and who they let go still didn't fit the budget so they decided to cut our pay by 6%, which me and hubby both work at the same place so it affects both pays and I think we are like the lowest income there. They are also raising the costs of our co pays for doctors and prescriptions. On a good note they have decided to give us more days off during the year. We will have every Friday in July off paid. I think I would rather keep my pay. See, nothing positive going on here. Hubby is working on getting my car looking better so I won't want a new car.
My oldest is sick she started running a fever yesterday and still has one today. She isn't eating much either. I wish I stopped eating when I'm sick, but that never happens.
Glad to see everyone doing such good jobs. I will definately be in it for the whole in the next challenge.
Any who, hope everyone has a good day and stay warm it's even cold here in the south.

well welcome back shanell......what did you and donny do today? hope boo gets better soon. i have a doctors appt. monday at 11, if i have her she can go with. just call me if she is still sick monday.
just a lazy day. son made dinner, hot wings. yuck, not my most fav. but he tried. to hot for me. nasty drizzling most of the day. did get me some cute tops for v day.
time to settle down for the night.

We didn't do anything. Made hamburger helper for dinner. Girls had 1/2 mini bagels for dinner. Skye's temp is 103.4 tonight. She feels fine just won't eat much and is laying down resting. Thanks, for volunteering to watch her Monday. Hopefully with one more she'll be better to go to daycare.
Hope everyone else is having romantic or nice nights, I know mine was far from romantic. In fact hubby has been working on my car sanding it for a paint job.

Happy Valentine's Day, ladies! I hope you all had a great day. Good to hear from you Shanell. I got in two hours at the gym today ladies, two separate trips, the second one with the fam. Burned 882 calories (the swimming was just leisurely). I feel great, but tired and sore now. Hope you all had a great day!0

good morning ladies.....
not much new here. yesterday was an eat day. so we shall see what the scale says tomorrow. it's our final weigh in too....i would be happy to just be what i was last week.
have the granddaughters today. oldest is still running fever. sure couldn't tell. she is all over the place and eating like normal. we all had oatmeal for breakfast today. it's ok, theres no school, so they spend the day with me. i go see the surgeon today. should be a good visit.
well, time to get dressed.

Guess what? I have a plan for today. First time in a long time, but I am proud of it. :happy: Does anyone know the amount of fat, protein, sodium, & fiber we should get in a 1200 calorie day?
Today:
1: Skim milk, coffee w/creamer, bran muffin
2: orange, bran muffin & skim milk
3:spinach salad w/ grilled chicken breast & walnuts
4: popcorn
5: Chicken stir fry
6: skim milk & 100 cal snack pack
I will add any exercise calories I earn later in the day.
Exercise- 1 hour at community center usually between 400-500 calories burned.
Strawberryblonde, Here are some ideas to help you get your water in. Try something other than squeezing in lemon like; oranges, cucumbers, or mint leaves. I have also added points for getting in my water to my reward system and as a jumpstart I have increased my points this week by giving myself 1 point for just getting in 4 cups of water.:drinker:
Shanell, Times are really tough, but you will find ways to make adjustments. You have come such a long way. Please try to hang in there until you are feeling more positive.
Katie, You are doing awesome, burning over 800 calories at the gym. You go girl!

Okay girls...still haven't caught up on everything yet...but I totally LOVE "Sixers Sping Clean Challenge" for the next one!! So, that will start tomorrow (Feb. 17th) and go through the end of March (March 31st). And hopefully by then we are getting into Spring!!! **fingers crossed** I will need to figure out my goals for this next challenge...I will aim to "gain" a certain amount and get in so much exercise per week. But I will do some figuring and let you all know.

Kristin- so glad you are back. It is hard to go from that nice weather back to the frigid cold. At least here in NC Iowa we are in the 30s today, it could be worse, I will tell myself
Hubby and I ran to the gym this morning before he had to leave for his month long school. I got in a walk/run interval set on the treadmill, some strength training, a swim, and a small sit in the steam room. Ahhh...I love Mondays. I burned 801 calories and couldn't be more proud. Then had Subway for lunch. I already have in 5 glasses of water today so I am doing fairly well so far.
I, like Kristin, want to do some thinking on what my goals will be for the next challenge. I will try and get those posted this evening.
Deb- thanks for the encouraging words. I am still loving your point system. I think it is fabulous that you are finding creative ways to take care of yourself. Very nice work.

i am sooooo ready for a new start. i ate yesterday AND so far today too. if i want to reduce my meds i have to get below 200. that is the deal with my doctor. i see him the first week in march. just a little over 3 weeks. i have at least 8/9 to lose. i know now i am holding water, which sucks for a weigh in. darn chinese from yesterday. had a wrap at perkins for lunch today. can't find info on it. so had to put in and it came out to almost 1000. WOW :noway: just amazing the amount of calories in resturant food.
well, grands are now napping, quit time. for a change the oldest has been the loudest and most active, normaly it's the youngest. she has been quit and peaceful, even without her game.
time to do something quite around here.
glad you are back kistin. hope you had a good time. it's has been quite around here lately. it think some of us need a motivation shot. know of anyone selling any?
katie....great job of early workout. you are sure pumped. got any motivation to spare?

Cathy- sure I can spare some motivation. For me, it is just going to the gym FREQUENTLY! I find the more I work out, the more I can't live without it. I told DH today when we left the gym that I could have stayed there all day today. Not working out the entire time, mind you. But I love the Y and everything it has to offer. I have really found a new love for the pool. Plus, this morning, DH and I were the only ones in the lap pool. It was fabulous! Maybe we should tack on a cardio aspect to the next challenge? We could see who could get the most minutes in for that period of time as well as the water and fruits/veggies? Just a thought.0

Hi Cathy!!!! I would LOVE to motivate you!!! Because you CAN do this!!! Only 8-9 pounds...look at how much you have already lost! This should be no prob for you!!! I go to the doctor again for my next check up the first week of March also...so lets you and I do some wonders before then!!! WE CAN DO IT!!!! I would LOVE to be able to go in there and tell the doc how I've been working out and eating good!!! All the things that are so good to do for a pregnancy! So...let's do it together!!!! I think starting a new challenge will be another big boost! Think of how motivated we all are when we start a new one! It's just the medicine we need!! I know I need it now that I'm adding exercise back into my diet!
Katie...THANKS! I'm glad to be back! Yeah...I guess todays weather isn't so bad, but we are supposed to get more snow tomorrow night...oh joy.:grumble: I am SO ready for Spring!

i am ready for the challenge. we CAN DO THIS!!!!. just went and bought me some more snacks, 100 calories ones and some yogurt. i had picked me up some biggest loser new protein mix. tomorrow i will begin that, and will begin a new workout. surgeon told me today i can go back to my normal live. i will still be bloated and swollen for another 4/6 weeks. and about that time frame for my liver to adjust and know what it's doing with food now. it made me feel better because it was discouraging with the weight gain and tummy still sticking out. my tummy was beginning to go down after all these years and now it sticks back out and pants fit a little snugg.
kistin.. workouts, eat right, in any shape we are together. i think tamtastic said she was told to add 300 or 500 calories to her daily.
dinner time. are we posting our final weights here tomorrow morning and than new ones on new thread?

Great Cathy! We WILL do it!!! Yeah...right now I'm trying to eat maintenece calories. Starting in my second trimester I will aim to gain about 1-2 pounds a week...so we'll see what that figures for me. But yes...I hear about 300 extra calories.
And I suppose you could just post your final weight on this thread in the morning, or start a new one if you want. It's up to you. And yes...we could all post our new starting weight on the new thread...which means I need to weigh myself.:grumble: LOL! We'll see how much I've gained so far!

No loss or gain to report today and still 3 pounds away from my goal. But, I am still proud of what I have done so far, but totally psyched for a new challenge. But, considering I gave in and had TWO GIGANTIC cookies last night after a pasta dinner (what was I thinking?), I am happy not to have a gain this morning.
