Recently read: The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy, Dark Tide and Human Remains by Elizabeth Haynes (some creepy books by E.H., but good!). Just started A Nantucket Wedding by Nancy Thayer. I needed something a little lighter compared to the last several psychological thrillers!

I thought it was one of the worst books I'd ever read. I didn't like a single character which made it hard to stay interested. I guess it's getting excellent reviews. But...no...

It wasn't the worst book I ever read, but not one of the best either. I didnt expect the plot twist at all. I liked being surprised.

I'm not sure if I like the book I am reading now. Here are some books I've read recently that are really good:

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
Before we Were Yours by Lisa Winsgate
Things That Happened Before the Earthquake by Chiara Barzini.

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen it's one that I've never read for some reason although I've read all the others several times over I'm a massive fan she's my favourite novelist

Northanger Abbey is I think her weakest book we're talking about Jane Austen so that still means it's a brilliant novel

I thought Northanger Abbey was a little silly.

Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell. Figured some of it out before the "reveal" but was a bit surprised by some of the how.

We are in the midst of Summer School, so I am leading a group of 5th graders through "Wonder"! The kids love that the main character is also in 5th grade and it has opened so many discussions on "choosing kindness"
