Um I've had hashimotos since I was 10 and my diet is not restricted in any way shape or form. My disease has not effected my weight loss, if managed properly thyroid disease is as simple as taking a pill once a day. Don't use it as a crutch, be honest with yourself and look at your eating habits. How come you really can't eat those things? Who told you you couldn't ? Get with a real endocrinologist please... they will be able to help you! Also not many people do well on Levo. Try the brand name Synthroid and Cytomel as well (T3+T4) sometimes the body has trouble converting and needs more of the active form present. Adding cytomel to my synthroid dose has given me much more energy. MANY people on here have thyroid disease and will be able to give you more advice.3
