no. i would die eating only 1500. especially with a name like gym bunny lol.. your metabolism is probably faster than MFP gives credit for.. perhaps eat more. you shouldnt be tht hungry especially bc youre not like new to this. no need to starve yourself :P
i eat over 2000 everyday and lose0 -
Drink a glass of water, and then see if you're hungry. Unless you're close to dehydration, it's hard to tell the difference between the hungry/thirsty feelings.0

it looks ok to me but depends on how hard you worked out. when I work out really hard I am extra extra hungry!!!0

How tall and how heavy are you? Make sure your setting to lose weight wasn't crazy low. You need fuel for your body. If you are starving, consider up your calories, just less deficit and more steady lose which has nothing wrong with that. Lots of vegi help make you full longer and it's healthier.
For me, what you had today will fill me more than enough - 5'3", 114 lb here.0 -
Water? Even your fruit is dried. My mom would say you're going to wrinkle:-)0

and we are the same height and weight! lol.. maybe girls who are 5'8" and weight 130 have like super appetites lol :P hahaha idk!0 -
I would not say you should be starving - but you could most probably add some more vegetables to your dinner (I have at least 3 cups of veges with my dinner) - should not up your calories much - but will give you some more bulk and fibre that helps.....
Also - maybe save some of the cottage cheese you are having for breakfast, for a after dinner snack......0 -

LOLOL!!! That made me giggle. Thanks for that!0 -
i think you can do with increasing your protein. MFP levels are pretty low. eat protein with every meal, aiming for about 50% carbs, 30 to 35% protein and 15 to 20% fats.0

Totally agree! I am 5'7 124 lb and eat 1700-2400. Also watch your carbs, you could be eating to many cars which makes you crave.0 -
and are you tracking and eating all your exercise cals?0

All good suggestions! I'll keep tweaking around with stuff. I'm trying to be very mindful of the protein. I don't even like cottage cheese, but somebody suggested I needed more of a breakfast so add some craisins and I can deal with it!
I did up my calories and that drove me nuts. I still worry I shouldn't have done that.
And honestly I'm not even sure what if anything I want to lose. I think I'd like to maintain... but then I worry I do I'll gain.
Anyhow thanks again for the good suggestions! I'll probably try every one of those things this week.0 -
and are you tracking and eating all your exercise cals?
Yes. I don't get to make the gym on the weeks that I have my kids(I have shared custody and my gym with daycare was too expensive) so if I do anything with them other than just running around, it's some free weights or crunches. Not enough to log.
I also don't log strength training.. I've never found anything in the database.
But I log every single bite I eat. I even measure everything.0 -
Nothing wrong with how you eat your carb! You are doing with with your ratio (my opinion). You are eating multi grain, brown rice, which are exactly you should be eating!!! You need proper % of carb to provide energy, health to your body. So, the way you are eating is great! Just consider up your total calories.0

strenght training is in the cardio database under strength training.0 -
A suggestion would be to also track your fibre intake as that helps keep you full (along with lots of water).0

It's not necessarily the number of calories, but also the bulk of the food. I'm seeing plenty of more calorie dense foods, so you're getting less volume. The good thing is that fats and proteins digest more slowly, so it better than if you were eating a lot of carbey calorie dense foods. But you can add in some low calorie high bulk stuff to help.
One example: a big garden salad. I get Dole Classic Romain, add broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, tomato, and strawberries, and it's still just over 100 calories for a big bowl (I then add 2 T of dressing, which gives me another 130 or so). Usually after that big salad, I'm satisfied for a while. Veggies are the very best high bulk, low calorie, fill-you-up food -not to mention all the other health benefits.
Also take a look at your soups. Clear-broth soups are GREAT for filling you up with not too many calories (chicken noodle, etc), but cream-based soups are deceptive. They pack a whole lot of calories and fat, usually, and don't usually satisfy you for very long anyway. I only looked at a couple of days, but I noticed those.0
