Did you answer the questions?.. There are like 1500 questions. . It's fascinating to just go and read the answers to the questions!
Yes I did, and you aren't wrong. I also used it back when everything was free, I think since then they have changed some of the features to be subscription only.
My favorite part was to log back on after meeting my now-hubby and reading his "about me" as he would say it if telling my verbally. It was already a good story that he posted, but once i knew his speech patterns it was so much better1 -
Yeah I've tried dating sites and they are really awkward. I can talk to people in person just fine but small talk with someone who probably looks nothing like their pictures is hard lol and it seems like no one on dating sites has thier *kitten* together. Just people looking for someone who does0

I've used POF & OK Cupid..been on dates..but nothing good..lol0

The worst are those minutes when you are at the restaurant and freaking out every time someone walks in...consumed by sheer terror that it's your date and you just don't even recognize them..6

I met my husband in 2012 on Ok Cupid so I was going to post the same as above, that I don't know how much it's changed.
But YESSSS to answering the questions on that site. I answered over 1,000 in a week or so and found much better matches doing that (although I met my now-husband like 2 days in!)
I do think it's super important to be VERY honest and up front about who you are and exactly what you are looking for and not looking for. Post a few realistic current photos and be real in general. As an example, I don't have kids and would not date men with kids. I pretty much said I was a teetotaler, not to be dishonest (I do like craft beer and wine occasionally) but because I didn't want to date a person whose social life (or life in general) centered around alcohol. Stuff like that.
Anyway I found OK Cupid to have better quality guys and slightly older guys (I was 35 at the time and looking for guys around 28-45) than some of the other free sites, such as Plenty of Fish. Of course it may have changed a lot by now and will vary by region and stuff...but worth a try in my opinion!!1 -

Ah, this explains the sudden game challenges from totally random men. Who knew? Obviously I was oblivious to this fact.1 -
According to Google, ourtime.com is good for folks over 50. I don’t know — at least it might limit to people looking for others their own age.0

It's an offshoot of Match.
My other experience is this. I put in a realistic age range, 7 years younger to 5 years older. The men that were interested in me were at least 10 years older. The men in my age range search were looking for women at least 10 years younger than they were.
The few folks that I know had some success with the sites, were in their 30's or late 20's.0 -

My mom fairly recently did a bit of online dating at age 64-66, being honest about her age, and she actually found quite a few men in their 50s and that's it. Many of them were single dads at 52, 55, or so and still with teens at home so my mom pretty much ran in the opposite direction (I'm her only child and 41). She was really hoping to meet someone around the 60-70 range who had raised their own children, perhaps with grandkids, and was retired or close to that phase, but most of the men who showed interest in her were a lot younger.0 -

They're probably watching videos on their phone while the gps in their tractor/combine runs the plan for best planting/picking patterns for increased yield and efficiency.1 -
Elite Singles and Match are not worth it! Good luck in your search!0
