Too few calories?

I’m trying to lose a few pounds and nothing seems to be coming off for about two weeks now. I run 4 times a week, do Pilates and a bit of weight training. I’ve set my daily calories at 1,300 and some people have told me this is too low, what do you guys think? (I am 5’ 8 in and 11st 11pounds)

    At 5ft 8 your just within healthy BMI range so weight loss will be slow I'm the same height as you and currently sitting at 11 stone 12.6 and it SLOW!

    I'm also 5'8", weigh close to the same (170 lbs), and I eat 1400 calories (this already includes average exercise calories) to lose 1.5 lbs/week. It's a pretty predictable loss rate for me. I run several times a week and weight train 3-4x.

    How slowly did you lose that 8 lbs? How much weight are you trying to lose? You said above you want to lose a few pounds, if it’s less than 20 then a reasonable rate of loss would be 0.5 lb/week, what did you choose for your rate of loss goal when you set up MFP?

    Gaining strength, likely. Gaining muscle, not so much. There's a difference.
