Sex is a form of cardio.

Why is “sex” listed as an activity for burning calories?

I've never seen it listed. Are you asking why it isn't? It doesn't burn that many calories. Most consider it part of their general activities.0

it is technically a form of cardio, however I personally don't count it because its hard to accurately calculate0

My fitbit counts it as aerobic exercise11

1) Because somebody has a sense of humor.
2) Because some dude somewhere takes this all a little too seriously and is actually worried about how many calories he'll burn in 15 seconds.41 -
Because every week or so, someone thinks they are the first really cool person to make a joke about sex being exercise.8

You can't wear a fitbit during it though, because it gets stuck in your partner's hair, so it doesn't count unfortunately !3

I wear my Apple Watch when I am at task. The calories burnt are not as much as even one heavy squat. The whole sex burns lot of calories is a myth. I have had days when I have done it seven times and it still does not cross 300.
Unless...... if I have to give an orgasm and which means I need to prolong as long as possible... I have burnt the most at these instances. So, if you are giving an orgasm and considering women are different in how long they take to orgasm - you can burn somewhere between 300 to 500 cals.
Quickies burn about 25 to 50 cals. Esp if the room is hot, like a sauna.
Mods: please delete if this is against rules. Merely educational response. But it’s in the discretion of the reader.12 -

That would depend on if you're effective or if it requires you to spend hours to get there. :laugh:0 -

Everything burns calories...a rigorous roll in the hay is obviously going to burn calories, but given the average time per session, it's not going to be all that much.0 -

Every time somebody posts this, I assume they just had sex for the first time and want to tell the world about it.7

It reminds me of boys in high school who would smirk and offer to help burn calories.4
