Hi, everyone. I'm looking for success stories (hopefully with comparison pics) of women around 5 feet (under 5 up to 5'4" or so) who have lost around 100 pounds. I've lost a little over 30 so far and am hopefully on my way to losing 100 so would love the motivation. Thanks!

Hi there! I have lost 80lbs so far. I have another 15-20lbs to go. I'm 5ft tall, and started my journey at 204lbs, waist size 37 inches, hips 48 inches. Now I'm at 125, waist size 28 inches and hips 37.5. Went from size 18 in jeans to size 6 (though I wore a pair of size 4 shorts the other day). Good luck to you on your journey!14

I'm 5'1". I've lost weight a few times with MFP. I'm currently down a little over 60 pounds this time in just over a year. I'll compare between my highest weight to now. In the pink shirt I was between 215-220 and at least a size 18 or 20. In the blue shirt I was around 200 and a 16. I was around 170 in the light blue shirt and a size 14, 135 in the shorts, and 134lbs. in the bottom right photo in an extra small dress that I took yesterday. I basically just eat less than I used to, weigh my food with a food scale, stay active and avoid being a couch potato, and follow a progressive strength training program to maintain muscle. I'm not sure what my ultimate goal weight will be, but my next goal is 130lbs. and then I'll reassess. I feel pretty confident that I'll end up in the middle of a healthy BMI range and be happy with the results because of strength training.

Way to go shorties - I’m 5’2 and hoping to lose 35-45 pounds. Look forward to being able to post similar success to the above6

Fellow shorty here! I’m currently 5 foot 1 inch tall and 172 pounds. Ultimate goal is somewhere between 110-120.6

I'm 5'0 and at my highest was 168 lbs. I didn't start really trying to lose weight seriously until I was 159 lbs. I've lost 50lbs so far with only about 10 left to go. I just ate less and tried any different sport/exercise I could go to or do at least once (even if they weren't for me it was an awesome learning experience!)
My measurements and inches lost:
Bust 37 -> 32
Waist 30.5 -> 24
Hips 44.25 -> 36.5
Upper Thigh 27 -> 2111 -

Great job ladies!! I am 5'3", my highest was 184lbs, currently sitting at 177.9lbs as of this morning with a goal of 124lbs. Once I hit in those 120's I plan on busing my butt and working towards body recomp and hopefully will have a completely different look! Will update once I hit goal!!5

You can do it! My suggestion would be to start a progressive strength training program now. Don't wait until you hit a certain goal. I started from the very beginning because I knew it took a lot of muscle to carry around the amount of weight I was carrying, and I wanted to keep as much of that muscle as possible both for health and aesthetics once I reached my goal. It's inevitable that we'll lose some muscle, but strength training helps reduce the amount we lose while keeping the focus on fat loss, as does a smaller weight loss goal every week and plenty of protein. In the end, it's easier in the long run to maintain muscle now rather than trying to build it back once we hit our goal weight.7 -
5’4.5” (that half inch is vital!). Went from 237 to 125lb in about 22 months.

Stay strong everyone, you CAN do this.

I started at 288 lbs in April 2017, currently 177 lbs.
Initial goal is 160 lbs and then I'll re-evaluate

Congrats on your loss so far!
I’m in a similar position- have lost just over 20kg so far (about 45lb) and want to lose another 35kg. Which would be about 115lb total I think?
Nearly half way there and am very happy with my progress so far. No photos yet because I want to wait till I get to goal... but it’s getting closer!
We can do this!!!3 -
Hello Everyone!
I am 5'4 and I began my weight loss journey 6 months ago when I was diagnosed with diabetes. Sadly, it took me developing diabetes to finally lose the weight I had been wanting to lose for the last two years. I have lost a total of 55lbs. So, I was at 225lbs and I am now at 170lbs! My goal is 140lbs. I am not sure my measurements but, I can finally see that my waist and stomach have shrunk. I have more energy these days and my knees don't hurt as much when I walk. I am seeing and feeling a huge difference, which highly motivates me to continue this weight loss journey. Although, for me this is more of a lifestyle change in needing to eat healthier such as having low-carb options. If anyone would like to add me as an MFP friend so we can cheer each other on that would be great! Take care and continued success to all.7 -
Way to go!! Outstanding accomplishments on here! I'm 5 feet and highest weight was 217 pounds, currently at 172 goal is 142.1

Amazing work fellow shorties! You look fantastic!
I’m now restarting (again) and disgusted with how big I’ve gotten. I’m 5 1” and 156lbs, larger than when I came home from the hospital with my last baby over 6 years ago.
I’ve tried them all of course and just keep wasting money I don’t have.0 -
