Oooh I looooove cottage cheese too and have to admit I eat it with most meals! Found it a great replacement for mayo on home made potato wedges, have it on salad.
It goes really well with mango and paprika!
Never thought of that! That sound good!0 -
I love mine with tomato, cucumber, red pepper, avocado and fresh ground pepper. It is one of my go to lunches I pack for work. I like all the above suggestions too!0
-
Dried cranberries and honey pecans(just like two or three chopped)
let it sit a day in the fridge and the cranberries get plumped.
SOOO good!0 -
I always 'pimp' my cottage cheese. Here are a few of my favorites:
Cucumber & Mint- its like tzatziki cottage cheese!
Sweet chilli sauce- adds a kick
red pesto
green pesto
chopped hardboiled egg & cress
Middle eastern Harissa Paste (nice n spicy)
Chopped up black olives & jalapeno peppers
tomatoes & basil0 -
I use it in place of salad dressings on a garden salad, on top of 6 cracked pepper triscuits or with pineapples in it!0

I personally love mine with a sprinkle of fresh cracked pepper on top--yum! Fresh berries are also really tasty with it, as is pineapple. I'm thinking about eating more cottage cheese because it's high in protein, and I could use some interesting things to mix in. What do you like in your cottage cheese? :-)
The pineapple was awesome! I had fresh pineapple with my cottage cheese this morning for breakfast0 -
I like my cottage cheese with garden tomatoes and raw onion....sounds strange but so good!! And you get in some veggies!!0

fresh tomatoes and black pepper.0

I love cucumbers and tomatoes with cottage cheese. Fresh black pepper on top...yum! I also am very fond of mixing it about 50/50 with salsa and using it as a high protein salad dressing or dip. This comes out a light pinkish color, and is WAY tastier than salsa and sour cream!0

i like it with a chopped sharp apple0

Great suggestions! all low sugar too0 -
I make cottage cheese pancakes - though they're more like crepes in thickness. They're low fat, no added sugar, and taste great with fruit or peanutbutter, or with a bit of maple syrup.0

I use the Fiber One Cottage cheese (tastes so good!) and then I have it with a low fat yogurt like Weight Watchers or Fiber One).0
