Hi guys so I'm pretty far along in my weight loss journey. Went 230 down to 170. I feel like at 170 my muscles have grown quite a lot if not at least leaned out quite a bit. Im to the point where i only have a couple stuborn areas( lowes abs and hips) Ive followed a pretty heavily cardio regimen for some time now. Im wondering is body going to target those areas for energy during my cardio workouts or is it going to go after newly aquired muscle??? Im in a caloric deficit and i run every day no matter what 7 to 9 miles.. And advice or tips???? Please help friends

I dont know if u would would consider it actual strength training. It been about a year now of losing weight and basically for the first 8 months i just did body weight push ups sits up i had a couple light dumbells that i do believe help with toning of my arms for past 4 ive been working out daily also with a pair of 50 pound dumbells full body workouts them and just trying to work different musles to faliure and also for the past 4 months ive been able to do pulls up 7 to 11 good solid pull ups. I also live right near a park that has different bars where i do the pull ups and on the field i do bear crawls lunges different core exercises and i do that like 4 times a week in the evenings. I do cardio early in the morings religiously. I also do intermittin fasting so usually my first meal doesnt happen till about noon give or take some time and MFP has me at 1710 calories a day for 1.5 pounds of weight loss a week

Getting on a well structured resistance routine will definitely improve body composition, which is something cardio will not do. Along with a small deficit and moderate protein (140-170g), it should help you see big improvements in how you look.
