They say as soon as you start to feel hungry your milk supply has already dropped. But I’d rather not reach for the carb overloaded fast foods. I snack on too much fruit it makes my sugar intake high what other kinds of snacks can I do?

Who told you that about your milk supply dropping when you get hungry? I call nonsense. Hunger is a bodily cue to eat. It's called eating intuitively. Yes, breastfeeding burns lots of calories, so you need to eat more to support your milk supply. But hunger is not an indication of a decreased milk supply. Your milk supply is dictated by letting your baby nurse as frequently and long as they would like, so as long as you're doing that and your baby's poops and pees are the recommended frequency for their age (output is the best indicator of input), you don't have to worry about your milk supply. Eat a wide variety of protein, carbs, and fats that make you feel satiated and energized.5

Thanks, I’m donating milk to a milk bank and it was something that the lactation consultant had told me.0
