The lady driving behind me in the parking lot was honking at me because she was not pleased with my slow driving or making a full stop at the stop sign. I just smiled and waved at her, which I thought was more courteous than the middle finger. Unfortunately, it did not calm her down, but at least I got a giggle out of it.1

My daughter was very challenging today. She tested every limit and I had to give a lot of consequences. There were many tears, and it was particularly difficult today. But I stood my ground, didn’t cave on the consequences, and didn’t allow her to talk to me in the sassy way she’s been getting way too accustomed to. It felt like we were going to be at war forever.
After dinner, however, she used her time without the technology she lost to make me this:
