So I've been wanting to buy a heart rate monitor to track how many calories I burn. I plan to use it for all kind of exercises, and am looking at a limit of about £60.
Anyone got any recommendations of good accurate products in my budget? Or do you think I need to spend a little more and get a quality product?

Whatever you do, don't buy the £8.99 HRM Watch from Ebay.

It told me I burned 65 calories in 2 hours of exercise classes!

I'm highly sceptical of them but I imagine the more expensive the better.

The Garmin FR60 with HRM would be in your price range at $99 USD. I've had mine since last December, and I use it nearly everyday. I especially like the Garmin Connect website where I can upload my workout data via the wireless USB connection. For a little extra money I got the pedometer to track my mileage when I run and the cadence monitor for when I go biking. The only feature that differentiates this watch from the more expensive models is GPS. I didn't have a huge need for GPS as a feature in a fitness watch. I only need GPS for my bike, and I'll upgrade to a Polar or another Garmin for my road bike specifically.

Polar brand is one of the best. I have FT7, which I got it from Amazon

    I have a Polar FT4. Love it.

It was easy to program and seems to be accurate. The chest strap is pretty comfortable, comparably, too.

I have a Timex Ironman watch with HRM. Water resistant to 50m so great for diving, too. I wear my HRM all the time when I exercise, and when I work at my part-time (serving) job. I LOVE IT! Cost was around $100 CDN so well within your price range. I hope this helps! :)

Polar for sure.. Amazon would prob. be the best place to buy it.

I'd steer clear of TImex.. the calorie burn on them tends to be over estimated!
