Well, my last one was getting into the 160's... I'm there now. Now my mini goal is to get down to where I was before I stopped using MFP before. A couple lbs to go!4

Seeing 179lb on the scale. I feel like I should have hit it already this past month with my eating, but I ended up losing inches instead of scale weight, which is great, but I REALLY want to hit the 170s.7

Almost to my last mini goal which was to get to 75 days logged in consecutively. Only 5 more days, then I'm working on 100!
My other mini goal is to keep a tally chart on a post it note on my bureau mirror for days without weighing myself. I get SO frustrated when I don't see a number I want to. So much that I'll give up or eat my feelings-- dumb and counterproductive!!
It's best I just don't weigh at all and trust the process. There are several other ways to track progress that won't get me frustrated such as noticing my clothes feel looser, smaller measurements, being able to walk farther, ability to lift heavier, etc.
Good luck to all! 😊5 -
Oops. Forgot to add that after 14 tallies for not weighing myself, I earn a trip to Savers for a 'new' shirt. After 30 rallies, I earn a new pair of work shoes which I really need because I don't have any!4

Next weight/size mini-goal: ONE-derland, 5lbs to go. Then another lb and I’ll be under 90kg which is my primary measuring unit, but one-derland is closer so I’ll work on that first
Next NSV goal: staying active and eating somewhat sensibly during a super hard week of studying, so I don’t feel like crap physically on top of the mental load. I’ve done that whole eat-like-crap-and-don’t move-at-all thing of studying on sheer painkiller power because of back/neck issues, then not sleeping well and eating like crap on top of that. Was not fun. This week won’t be fun either, but I’ll get through it with my sanity and health intact, and my thesis turned in my midnight on Monday. I also did the wise thing and I already have a massage appointment booked for the day after the deadline.
BOOM! It took 79 days since writing this post, but I finally broke through and hit both one-derland and under 90 on the same day.
Also, my BMI is apparently now 29.97 so technically not obese, but that still rounds up to 30.0 so my next super-mini goal is to lose 0.1kg more so my BMI rounds up to 29.9 and I’ll be overweight and thus in the BMI class I want to stay in (I have several independent coaches/trainers agreeing that going below 25 would not be sustainable for my build and the amount of muscle I already have).13 -
Getting down to 350. Baby steps, you know what I mean? Hmm. I have plenty of goals. Most seem long term tho. I need more short term goals.
Being forced to buy some new clothes would be a good one.
Learning more about nutrition and getting myself right in the kitchen.

See the white skirt in the pic? I'm at the blue skirt. I used to wear the red one.13

@hipari CONGRATS!!! Breaking through the 200 barrier is like flying at the speed of sound: you know it when you get there, you feel it as you pass through it, and it feels MAGNIFICENT!4

So, I've operated in the same 20-30ish pound range for years. I'm close to getting out it. 278.4 is the lowest i have logged from June 2016. Once I get past that, I'll be the lowest recorded on MFP. I never weighed or paid attention before I joined, but I've been this pant size for a long while before joining.
I feel like I can't "see" any progress when I look in the mirror, because I've been this weight before, but I FEEL it. I feel like my arms and thighs are smaller or more toned when I touch them. I feel less out of breath when I work out, I feel less back pain. I have so many NSV's, I can touch my toes. I feel the difference in my clothes.3 -
I’ve lost 10lbs this week (just started) I’m looking forward to my clothes not fitting anymore! (I need new clothes for work pretty badly but really don’t want to buy them just yet lol)2

I really want to lose 3.5 lbs by August 11th. My kids have a ballroom competition that day and I would love to hit a milestone for it. Then another 5 pounds by September 1st. That would put me at pre pregnancy weight for baby number 5...he is 2 now. 🤣 Not even looking at pre 1, 2, and 3-4 (twins)4

To get down to 150 kg (330 pounds) - I am currently about 1.5 kg (3 pounds) above that weight.6
-
Also, my BMI is apparently now 29.97 so technically not obese, but that still rounds up to 30.0 so my next super-mini goal is to lose 0.1kg more so my BMI rounds up to 29.9 and I’ll be overweight and thus in the BMI class I want to stay in (I have several independent coaches/trainers agreeing that going below 25 would not be sustainable for my build and the amount of muscle I already have).
Well, that was fast. I guess it really was a mini goal if it only took one extra day to reach it? This weight loss was long overdue tho, my monthly average weight has only come down 2.5lbs since May. That’s what vacationing will do to you, I suppose...
Next mini goals: my next milestone weights (under 190lbs and under 85kg) seem too far away with my current rate of loss, so here are my next mini goals:
- to lose 1kg, or 2,2lbs, within the next four weeks and increase my loss rate back to 0.25kg per week
- apparently my Fitbit goal is set at 89kg, so losing the 600 grams to reach that
- lose 1cm from my waist, so that will be less than 90 like my weight is now
- lose 2cm from my hips, so that will be less than 100
- lose 1cm from my butt, so that will be less than 1154 -
3.6 kg until I hit my best weigh-in from 2013. After that? I will making new records for myself!5

Transitioning from push ups on my knees to proper push ups.10

My wife and I are in our mid-50’s and after I retired from the military in 2013, we moved on with life. I entered the corporate world and my wife, by our mutual decision, stayed at home. When I retired, I was in good shape and 230 very lean pounds.
Over the next 15 years, we allowed “life” to get in the way and neglected our health and fitness, resulting in my gaining 25 pounds and probably the same for my wife (I’m not asking!).
We started using the UnderArmor app on 5/10/18 and it is now less than 3 months later. We are down a combined 59.8 lbs, I weight less than I have in 25 years and we both feel better all-around.
We’re a work in progress; I have 15 lbs to go to meet my teenage weight of 205; for me, that will be a 46 lb loss.
Every day is a challenge but we look better, feel better and are working toward continuing to improve our overall health and fitness, so we can grow old and enjoy our grandkids for many more years.
It’s a team effort, just like our 35 year marriage has always been (Happy Anniversary, baby!)25 -

Over the hump and away from the stigma of obesity. Now just a plain ol' run of the mill fat***.11 -
Got off track for the entire month of July. My goal for this week is to have a deficit every day ranging from 250-500 cals. My goal for the month is to lose the 3-4 lbs I gained.6

To get into the 150's by labor day!2

10 more pounds until I’m back in normal BMI range. So close! Hoping by mid September I can get there.8
-
Getting into the 140s! I've been plateaued at 155 for two weeks now. Hoping for a whoosh and then onward and downward3

I want to see the other side of 180 so bad! I've been floating between 189 and 186 for 2 months and it's driving me nuts. Yes I've lost inches. Yes I'm down over 3% BF%. But seeing 170 something again would be lovely.6

1 LB until I'm not OBESE!21
