I’m at a loss..

Hey guys, so I recently signed up for a weight loss challenge for 6 weeks. We are 3 weeks in tomorrow. I’m 5’2 female and starting weight at 263. I’ve been making sure to stay under 1630 calories a day (i normally am around 1100) and I also make sure that my protein is highest in macros chart, carbs come in 2nd and then fat. I also have been working out 2x’s a day Monday’s and Wednesday’s (cardio/strength training in the morning for an hour then I play Just Dance in the evening for a couple of hours), I do Just Dance 6 days a week for 2 hours a day. Here’s a timeline of my weight:
17th- 263 (start)
Week 1 on 24th- 257
Week 1 & 6 days 30th- 253
Week 2 31st- 263 ?????????
TODAY- the scale fluctuated from 253-265.....
My TOTM was last week and I just got off of it a couple of days ago. Ever since that bad weigh in last week, I have had absolutely no cheat meals. I’m thinking about maybe doing a colon cleanse but i know that I don’t have 8 pounds in my colon.
I’ve tried dieting before and I have a hard time staying motivated (obviously) but I’ve been doing pretty good this diet but it is now getting really hard to stay motivated when I keep getting results like this........ Any kind of advice or anything is greatly appreciated.

Hm. How old are the batteries in your scale? Mine does stuff like that when the batteries are going, or the scale is dying in general.
Also, don't bother with the colon cleanse. You are going to lose mostly water that will return. You are doing great! Even if you are up, keep logging and it will go back down!4 -
weight loss isn't linear.
and stop eating so little!4 -

They were replaced a couple of weeks ago. And thank you!0 -

Should I be consuming 1630 calories per day? I’ve just been viewing it as a limit.0 -
Your weight might fluctuate in the days before and after ovulation/menstruation. Don't just rely on the scales, look out for little signs that your body is changing. You might have lost a centimetre here or there that you haven't noticed yet because the changes can be incremental. Maybe instead of thinking of it as a diet, which is a finite thing, think of it as a longer term change. Weight loss isn't linear, because humans aren't linear. You will have peaks and troughs. Keep your attention on the peaks to motivate yourself, and work through the troughs to get back to the peaks.2

it's a calorie goal, not limit.3 -
Don't do weightloss challenges.
Don't go under your calorie target. Don't go over, either, by incorrect logging.
Don't do a colon cleanse.
Protein is supposed to be the smallest %, unless you're eating keto, and then fat is supposed to be the largest %.
Exercise is good for you, but not what makes you lose weight.
Weight fluctuates, but are you sure your scale is ok? Or is it a typo? You said "today, the scale fluctuated...", does that mean "gave different readings within seconds"? Have you checked it by weighing something else?
Have those things in check, and then you can, and must, BE PATIENT.6 -
My doctor told me to have 40 percent protein, 30 percent fat and carbs. The body works hard to burn protein so before you take the advice of people on this string, ASK YOUR DOCTOR OR A DIETITION, NOT A NUTRITIONIST (anyone can be a nutritionist but a registered dietitian has specific credentials).3

Mine told me , at the time a 400 lb 6'3" man, to only eat 1600 cals a day and exercise. Doctors know little of nutrition. I second a rd. 40% pro. Dang... a lot of protein. I suggest doing what works for you. I run 28-30... that's almost double rda.6 -
I see the scale fluctuating “today” - meaning...you’ve weighed yourself multiple times today?0

You are not doing anything wrong - do you weigh at the same time of day, having evacuated your colon and bladder? You know that a specific weight is just a snapshot in time - it's a measure, that's all. I don't think we should compete with others, but just strive to be better tomorrow than we are today. Don't be hard on yourself - you are doing great!!1

Yes, I don’t have a scale at home because I would be weighing myself multiple times throughout the day so I weight myself at the gym. The scale has always been a little weird and they recommend getting in the scale 4 times and taking the average. It’s super frustrating because now I never know if the weight it read is my actual weight because I don’t trust it hardly at all anymore.

Thanks everyone. I got my measurements today and I’ve lost a few inches so that’s definitely good to see! This was the first time I’ve measured since the beginning so it’s good to see progress in at least 1 area.0
