So I was on birth control amd losing weight at a pretty good pace after I had my son well I stopped birth control because my husband got the big snip and in the year since I have stopped birth control I have steadily put on 10-15 pounds and I haven’t done anything too different well starting a few weeks ago I got really strick about my counting to the point we’re my husband was asking if I was eating enough instead of eyeballing portions and I even upped my steps from 6k to 8k and I haven’t even lost a single ounce literally very frustrating! I never officially got diagnosed with PCOS the doctor mentioned i most likely have it well I made an appointment for October 2nd to get to the bottom of this and hopefully start birth control again
Has anyone gained weight from not being on birth control?

Hormones are usually linked with weight fluctuation so your body might strugule with regulating your hormones now that you don't take a pill, that's true.
Some people react really badly to the pill, getting on or off of it. I was struggling on it and I went through quite an hormone imbalance getting off, although it didn't affect my weight, it affected my period massively, I had major mood swing for months and my breast hurt every single day for almost a year. I'm glad I got rid of it!

Start weighing your food. You can lose weight with PCOS but you have to eat in a deficit.

I have a digital scale. I do weigh out all my solid foods on the scale. then use measuring cups and spoons for liquids.

Are you working with an Endocronologist? PCOS is a hormonal imbalance, and imbalanced hormones can definitely affect your weight loss, or lack thereof.

No I am not shortly after my doctor suggested I had PCOS back in 2013 I got pregnant (after trying over 2 years) but had a miscarriage I was so discouraged I stopped going to my GYN well 4 months after my miscarriage I got pregnant again and I switched doctors back to my original GYN and I never told her about the PCOS diagnosis and honestly kinda put it out of my mind since I was on birth control and everything was normal (losing weight & periods) but now everything is all crazy since I have stopped Birth Control so I have an appointment Oct 2nd to discuss all my issues.
