Graphing weight loss: interesting observations

I'm graphing my weight day-by-day so I can see patterns (if any) in order to understand how my body works.
BUMPY, NOT SMOOTH — I notice that there are days in a row (5-8) that I hover around the same weight, as if I am battling around this one number and nothing is happening. Then, suddenly, there are a few days in a row (2-4) of major weight loss. All the while my diet has stayed steady. Looking at the graph of my weight loss, it's more of a scalloped edge than a straight line: bumps and then a slide down.
THOUGHTS — is it possible that water fills in when fat cells leave or deflate, creating those mini-plateaus? Is the water suddenly released resulting in a nice chunk of weight loss? I'm beginning to think so.
TAKEAWAY — So, I will trust the process: even when it "seems" I'm are not losing weight, I'll just hang in there and trust he downward slope will come.

Be ready for seasonal effects like that too.
Start of spring/summer becoming more active outside sweating - blood volume can increase and mask fat loss on the scale.3 -
I tracked via Fitbit for about 3 years and noticed trends like gaining in December EVERY year, my lowest weights were always in late summer and fall. It helps to know it (I think) but the proof is on the pudding, let’s see if I gain this December!1
