Beginning Fitness Plan

Hi all, I’m a college student who was really active in high school and then once organized sports stopped, haven’t done much since. I’m trying to lose some weight and get back into exercising since I love the way it makes me feel. How do I develop a lifting/workout plan??? Any suggestions for where to start?

I suggest going to the thread below and using one of the beginner programs for lifting. Take advantage of the fact that people who know what they are doing put them together so that you don't have to spend time/effort figuring out how to build one.
