Beginning Fitness Plan

Hi all, I’m a college student who was really active in high school and then once organized sports stopped, haven’t done much since. I’m trying to lose some weight and get back into exercising since I love the way it makes me feel. How do I develop a lifting/workout plan??? Any suggestions for where to start?
