I'm confused as to why you're asking this question. When I did a doctor advised elimination diet, he walked me through what to eat and not to eat. As far as I know, this is pretty standard practice when it comes to this sort of medical advice.13 -

I'm currently following a Carnivore Diet as an extreme elimination diet to get to the bottom of my food intolerances and digestive issues. I started with only animal products but quickly realized that goat dairy and eggs were giving me issues. Since my diet is so extremely limited right now, it was easy to pinpoint what foods were causing me issues. Starting in September, I'm going to reintroduce foods one at a time and wait 4 days between each new food to see if I have issues with anything else. Luckily I don't have any true allergies, but have discovered intolerances to wheat/gluten, soy, dairy (goat and cow), and eggs.
Elimination diets are used to identify allergens or intolerances. This should be directed by a physician with possible input by a RD. Are you either of those things?
Those who have pointed the OP back to their doctor are correct. A forum is not the place to get directions for this protocol.
Are you saying that going on a whole 30 type diet without the supervision of a doctor is dangerous to your health?
It's not dangerous to your health, but depending on what you're going on an elimination diet for, it might not necessarily eliminate all the potential trigger foods necessary and/or might be unnecessarily restrictive.
It all depends on what the specific aim is in pursuing an elimination diet, and this is why doctors usually give food recommendations with the advice to follow an elimination protocol. These generally are not "choose your own adventure" sorts of endeavors.11 -

Your doctor has suggested an elimination diet, therefore they should be suggesting what to eat and not to eat. Or at least giving you a general idea of where to start and how to progress. Otherwise they've not been very helpful IMO.2

I was asked to do the basic elimination diet for 21 days. It is a basic diet to start therefore I was looking for some ideas/recipes/advice. Nothing more, nothing less. I was hoping for a response from people that have done this to get their input, not negative opinions. Thanks anyways.13 -

The point was, no one can give you suggestions unless they know what you can and can't eat. 'Basic elimination diet' doesn't tell us anything.17 -

This is no more helpful than your original post. What’s a “basic elimination diet”? If your doctor suggested it then he or she should be giving you guidance as to what you are eliminating and what will remain. If you have that information already, and just want to get some recipe tips for the foods that your doctor has said are ok to continue to eat - then that sort of information would be good to provide.

The problem is "the basic elimination diet" is not a thing any of us know exists. What are you eliminating? Is it published somewhere? There are plenty of active posters with digestive and autoimmune issues who I'm sure have done elimination diets, but the consensus seems to be that these diets tend to be specific to the person or condition. If you'd like to provide more info, I'm sure there are people here who can speak to their experience.9 -

We can't give advice, ideas or recipes without knowing what foods you need to eliminate and and what foods you can eat.
Did your doctor give you a list of foods to eliminate or just send you off with "follow any basic elimination diet"? What is the purpose of doing the elimination diet?8 -

I don't think it's as common as you seem to think, that's why no one knows what the kitten you can eat...9 -
Can you eat popcorn? I would be sad if that had to be eliminated from my diet.2

The Autoimmune Protocol, Wahls Protocol, Specific Carbohydrate Diet, FODMAP, Whole30. These are examples of elimination diets, yet all have different yes/no foods. We need specifics.
Edited to mention these are diets to figure out what triggers or aggravates autoimmune inflammatory symptoms. Not for weight or general health issues. Why do you think you need an elimination diet, and what can you eat? Maybe your doctor needs to refer you to a dietitian for help.4
