Abs/Core excercises

How do folk record for example a half hour excercise class focusing on abs/core ??

    Depends.

If the class was made up of circuits, I’d use Circuit Training.
If mostly bodyweight moves, I’d use Calisthenics.

    I agree with Shadow2soul.

I tend to log my ab-focused workouts as Calisthenics when in doubt, as that gives me the lower burn and keeps me from overestimating my net calories. I judge if it is "light/moderate" or "vigorous" by my breathing rate at end of workout.

Can’t seem to see this within strength category when logging the exercise. If you have to create an exercise how do you gauge calories??

You log it under Cardio. Logging under strength in MFP does not give a calorie burn estimate.
