You are what you eat and think

If you eat bad things, your body will do bad things. If you think that you’re fat, overweight, out of shape or not worthy, then your subconscious mind will relay those feelings to your body, thus reinforcing those behaviors/addictions that prevent you from achieving your goals (if you have any). This is a simple, yet complicated issue that society has engraved within our thought processes. We all have the ability to do & become what we desire but only when we free ourselves of self-destructive thoughts and behaviors. Check out the author Wallace D. Wattles book on “How To be Great”. The first 6 chapters will explain the aforementioned and more. It will free your mind so your body can follow

Really?!? May I ask for what ailment? That's fascinating.1 -

Warfarin, also called Coumadin. It's used as an anticoagulant for patients with A-Fib. Because rats/mice eat it in uncontrolled levels, they bleed to death.
Definitely not something to sprinkle on your salad though. :laugh:2 -

I've heard of those, but didn't realize they were also rat poison. The things you learn on MFP!4 -

Isn't it a beautiful thing? They've come a long way in anticoagulants, warfarin needs regular monitoring to make sure they aren't getting too much, and comes with a host of potential side effects (excessive bleeding being the main one). They have newer drugs that are more stable, but the antidote for them if you need emergency surgery for anything is around $5,000, whereas the antidote for warfarin is Vitamin K. That's why people on it need to be so careful about consumption of high K foods.
I guess you could mess with the rats feeding them alternating meals of warfarin and spinach.0 -
My body does bad things when I eat celery and good things when I eat ice cream. My theory confirmed. Celery is a bad food and no one should eat it.5

What bad things are talking about eating or doing? If you eat poisoned or contaminated food or something you are allergic to your body will react in unpleasant ways. Otherwise food is not bad and does not really make your body do bad things.
There are people who set unhealthy or unacheivable goals. Saying that everyone has the ability to do and become whatever if they just think positively is kind of irresponsible.

They joined today and made one post. Part of marketing for the book I suppose.2 -
Since the author apparently died in 1911, I doubt it's marketing. Could give new meaning to the term "ghost writer" though!5

I am chocolate and my mind is free.
Now if I were broccoli, my mind would be seriously caught up in how I shouldn't be around people 1-5 hours afterwards. Bad broccoli.2
