A rule to abide by for weight loss "supplements" - If it's legal, it doesn't work; if it works, it isn't legal.

Save your money. Eat less calories than you burn.

What are you trying to accomplish with them? Weight loss supplements? See above. Protein supplements? Helpful if you aren't getting enough protien. Multivitamin? Mostly makes your pee more expensive.

As a general rule of thumb: Something either has an effect, or no effect. If it's supposed to "help", run away. And running actually burns calories!

Another: Don't take pills that your doctor hasn't prescribed.

I went to gnc the other day and bought a supplement that’s supposed to help burn fat and control appetite. I actually did feel a difference with it.. less hungry ...

There's a lot of woo supplements so it's always best to do your homework before purchasing.

I do use protein powder though to help meet my goals.

It likely had caffeine in it. Many people find a cup of coffee will have the same effect.

What kind of supplements? I use whey protein most days to hit my protein goal. I find it filling and easy way to hit my goals without adding too much fuss or calories. I also take some vitamins and fish oil.
