Hello, everyone. I've never posted here before so I don't know if I'm in the right section but I had some questions about nutrition.
I'm 20 years old. 5 ft 0" and weigh 152 lbs. I know that I am well over my "healthy" weight for my height. I use to weigh 230lbs but I feel like I've recently reached a plateau and I'm wondering if it has to do with my diet.
This is what I've eaten today
Breakfast
Philly cheesesteak 6 inch
Snacks
Ginger candy
Grapes
Goldfish
Trail mix
Lunch
Two red potatoes
Chicken drumstick
Ranch dressing
Dessert
Orange
I also want to make a note that I burn 500-700 calories in the gym 5-6 days a week. So am I eating enough to lose weight or am I eating too much? Starting tomorrow I will replace my breakfast with protein shakes and my snacks with Ruby red. Do you have any advice?

Before anyone could answer questions on whether you are eating too much or not enough, we would need quantities. Take trail mix. What kind of trail mix? Is this a 100 calorie pack, a 2 oz snack pack, or free eating from an 18 oz bag? Are you having a little kid snack pouch of goldfish or polishing off one of those fake milk carton ones they sell at checkout.

How many calories are you eating? Once you calculate that, it will be easier to say if you are eating too much. Weigh and log your food and then get back to us.3

What about the rest of your food? You need to calculate the calories in everything you eat.3 -

Log everything as accurately as you can in your food diary. Use a food scale. Check that the database entries you use are correct.2

Who said breakfast had to be typical? I usually eat a protein bar since it's more portable for days I want to eat my first meal at work. There's also been times during my weight loss phase that I've ate a pint of ice cream (Halo Top/Enlightened) for breakfast.8 -

That sounds like a wonderfully enjoyable breakfast. Doesn't matter what you eat, as long as it fits into your calorie limit.2
