Forearm exercises with no kit

Hi all, just wondering what forearm exercises are available to do with no equipment?

Looked at bodybuilding.com but they only have a stretch.

I'm getting a pretty good all-over workout from my rower but really want to target my forearms more/faster to help with rock climbing.

I can't afford any kit, and when I can a hrm is going to be my next buy.

Got some great core exercises and press-ups, all of which are free/require no kit.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

This is what I do to strengthen for rock climbing. Except I use a 5 pound hand weight.

Do you mean in a press-up position but with your hands raised on a chair? Like this (random quick google search) http://medicmagic.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/InclinePushUp.jpg

Liking the ideas for improvising weights with water bottles/cans etc thanks.

yep, the only problem with that is, once youve mastered it and done it for a while, it just seems so easy! but i still do it because im waiting for my dumbells to get sent out :) ee excited for weight training!

Thanks, will give that a go.

I was going to leave the weight training until I'd reached my target weight by cardio/rowing but I want to break up my sessions a bit.

Good luck with your weight training :o)

Don't forget to strengthen your grip too. Grab a cheap rubber ball and squeeze away. It'll work your forearms and grip at the same time.
