My favoite recipe is to take a small package of tuna, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and about 1/2 cup of fresh salsa and mix. My friends usually turn up their nose until they try it..... very yummy.0

I sprinkle a mix of toasted sesame seeds and sunflower seeds over top, yum!0

I use a couple tbsp of crushed pineapple in mine. I'm gonna try pepper thought, I've read that's good.0

Definately with Pineapple chunks and a small baked potato0

1/2 cup cottage cheese and a TBLS of sugar free cheesecake pudding (or whatever flavor floats your boat) in a mini food processor - Yumm-O!0

Use it on a salad and it cuts down on dressing required. Scoop it with crackers.0

I mix in celery, carrots, and peppers. Tomatoes are good with it too0

I stopped eating cottage cheese, and switched to just have nonfat plain greek yogurt (chobani is my favorite). Cottage cheese has too much sodium, and I used to eat it as a source of protein, but the greek yogurt has way more protein and tastes better, to me. It was a no brainer for me.0

OMG!! Just last week some one shared this site. Cottage cheese makes the most wonderfully thick shakes. My fave is the cheesecake. Here's where to go for the recipes: http://www.dashingdish.com/2010/03/i-cant-believe-its-not-a-milkshake/
They will keep you full for hours and hours!0 -
I like it with applesauce mixed in.0

I use it in place of ricotta cheese in recipes (lasagna) , garnish it with chopped tomatoes & green peppers. I like it melted on top a burger instead of cheddar cheese it's kind of like a black & bleu burger . You can also eat cottage cheese with fruit like strawberries or peaches.0

I like it with LOTS of fresh ground black pepper.0

There are many things you can do with cottage cheese. You can add fruits (pineapple and peaches are my favorite). I also use it in place of salad dressing and add pepper to it. I have had it with tomatoes and peppers. It is cheese. You can use it in many of the same ways you would use other cheese.0

1. Sliced strawberries, half a banana, a tablespoon of chopped walnuts.
2. Toasted "light" English muffin, 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese on each half, a teaspoon of honey, a sprinkle of cinnamon, sliced pears or banana. Absolutely yummy.

If I eat it as a snack I like to make it a sweeter taste,
Dash of cinnamon, 1/2 tsp honey and add fruit - blueberries are great in it but any other fresh fruit is fabulous!0 -
I love it mixed with my favorite yogurt, mixed with tuna and avocado on crackers, topped with fresh tomatoes, salt and pepper, mixed with any kind of fruit. So yummy and so many ways to eat it.0

I used to hate cottage cheese, but now I love it mixed with fresh fruit and drizzled lightly with honey. My favorite combo is strawberries, blueberries, apples, and a few pitted dark cherries if I have them, topped with cottage cheese, light sprinkle of nuts or sunflower kernels, and light drizzle of honey. Yum, yum, yum!0

How do you make Cottage Cheese not so plain and boring?
i have the ready mixed cottage cheese with chives, yuuuuum!0 -
All these sound so yummy! I also love it with Ranch Dressing mix, pop it in a blender for a nice thick dip for veggies.0

Half a spoon on pesto, sprinkle of crunchy fried onions, handful of chopped walnuts, serve with smoked fish or chicken breasts. Love cottage cheese, lots of sodium though so thinking of trying to make my own!0
-
I used to walk by the cooler aisle where cottage cheese was. I saw Nordica Berry cottage cheese and thought "who the heck would want fruit in cottage cheese"? Now I am hooked. Although, I should make my own mix as the individual servings are very expensive. Healthy eating makes me go broke by the end of two weeks!0
-
Pineapple! Yummy! Or I eat it with a few crackers, like multi grain ones. But I love cottage cheese even plain so that's easy for me to eat.0
