Women....Period Tracker App??

I have a free app and all it ever does is worry me. I've never been regular.0

I use one on my Palm phone. It's like PinkPad or something. I can't take hormonal birth control so I like that it keeps track of my cycle AND lets me know my ovulation and "fertile" days (IE days to be extra special careful since I'm not trying to conceive).
Of course, it's much easier than tracking all of that stuff on paper and showing up to my doctor's office with piles of paper.
This app also tracks weight fluctuations, has an area you can fill in your mood, basal temp (body temp when you first wake up - high days are likely to be fertile days), and make any notes you want.
The most helpful bit for me, is it alerts me the day it thinks my period will start - has cut down on surprises.0 -

That's the one I have!0 -
For TTC I recommended Fertility Friend. It's similar to MFP where it has a set of forums and website, that is supported by the app.
I have PCOS so I have longer cycles and FF takes that into account, and 'learns' your cycle over a few cycles.
I'm no longer TTC though, so I've switched to PinkPad. I don't think it's as good, but since I have wonky all over the place cycles, it just might not be as good for me.0 -
Haha... I know it's probably irrelevant to the conversation but I also like the cute pink flowers theme. I find it especially ironic when I am bloated and recording I gained 6 lbs in a week the week before my period and those flowers are all happy looking at me.
Did you get the free one or the pay version?0 -
I highly recommend fertility friend.. you can track your fertility signs and your temperature too once you're TTC.
Ditto.... I have cycle issues, and I've used this for many years now. There's a basic section that's free and then you can get premium tools/options for a subscription fee that are extremely helpful for TTC. They have forums and such too. Really great site.0 -
I use iPeriod too. I upgraded when they had a $.99 special just because I like the extra backgrounds and icons. (Yes, I am a dork!) It tracks well, easy to use and I've come to rely on it. I like that it will forecast the next 12 (reasonable estimate based on your previous data.)0

I keep track of my wife's "monthly visitor" by counting stones in the front yard.0

My phone is way too old-school for that, but my best friend has that app on hers. It always cracks me up when she says stuff like, "My phone says I'm supposed to start in 3 days" or something - and amazingly it's usually right on the money!0
-
Haha!
Edited to add: I meant to quote the reply above mine about the stones - that's too funny!0 -
Womanlog is a great app available on an android phone. It predicts your next period & ovulation. You input your start & end date. Very easy to use & it's free!!0
-
any other android users out there with suggestions? i was using Monthly Calendar.. which i loved.. but now apparently i've exhausted the 'free' part of it.. and need to pay for it to enter more stuff.0

I have it,, love it I wouldn't be without it now!0

I use My Days to track my cycle, its great and tracks everything, i only use it to track periods and ovulation because i get really bad mood swings at different times of the month and it helps to let me know, ohhh, thats why, it will all be over in so many days etc etc, it also helps when i panic that i am late, with just a traditional calender and the app lets me know that no actually, your cycle isnt exactly the same every month, it varies between 28-33 days for me. im not trying to conceive, in fact im trying not to, but when i do start trying (in like 4years i hope, i will def still use this app, oh and its free on droid market :-)0

I'm pretty regular, but it's more of a 37 day cycle.
Is there a way to change the cycle length on the app?? i downloaded "period tracker lite", but it has the cycle days set to 28 and i am a 35-38 day cycle gal.0 -
I use pink pad and really like it. There is a free version or advanced for $2.99.0

mine is every 3 months lol0 -
I use "My Days" on my Android and I LOVE IT. I have been using it for about 6 months and it is free.0

I Use the "MY DAYS" on the Android and it is a free app.
I don't use it to track when I'm ovulating but I DO track my cycles to see how long they are because I kept assuming I was every 30 day but after 6 months I am now seeing I am every 29 days and only lasting 3 days.0 -
If you go back and log you last few period start dates it should adjust your average cycle. Not sure how many it would take. When I started using it it put in the last year and it averaged mine right (I'm 25 days).0

I use iperiod lite on my ipad - it's pretty handy and it's free0

I used fertility friend (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/) when we were TTC. It has mobile access and an iphone app. I just used the online version so I can't comment on the iphone app.0

I use the free version on my Ipad. It is great for tracking when I will get my period.
You could use it for ovulation tracking if you are trying to get pregnant, but I just use mine to generally know when my husband will be going through hell each month, lol!0 -
I don't use an app, but I use femilia.com
It's set up so you can do the whole morning temperature thing if you're TTC. I'm not TTC, but I find that the period & ovulation predictor is fairly accurate for me. I've been tracking TOM for like 5 years with that. I normally start within a day that I'm predicted.
Plus they analyze your period length. It's kinda cool to look back and see which months are typically lighter and heavier for me.0 -
I downloaded fertility friend and I like it a lot so far!!! Let's hope it helps!!!0

Fertility Friend is the best!

I use a free one called "My Days" and it keeps track of my period, I also put in when I take my pill, there is a place for daily notes, also when you have sex...It also tells me when I'm in High Fertility, and Ovulation...I like it because I never seem to remember to write that stuff down on the calendar!0

or when you first open the program you go to settings at the bottom. then go to period & fertility and then default cycle and change the amount of days. i'd personally set it at 35 and let it adjust from there.... but thats your call. HTH!0
