Can’t figure out why I’m not making progress...

I’m a 39 year old female, 6’ tall, currently 240 pounds and 31% body fat. My goal is to get back to my healthy weight of 180, but I’d be happy to reach 200. I have been eating 1500-1700 calories per day, vegetarian, and I walk 5-8 miles per day according to my fitness tracker. I have been doing this for two weeks now, and the scale has not budged even an ounce. Help?

2 weeks isn't a lot of time, and losses may be masked by water weight fluctuations due to exercise, hormones, stress etc.
How are you determining your intake? If you're accurately logging by using a food scale for everything and using database entries youve double/triple checked are correct, some patience may be all that's required2 -
You have to be more patient (two weeks isn't much time) and accurate (you're not saying how you know you're eating 1500-1700 calories per day). Food choices and exercise has little direct impact; in fact, focusing on those things can leave you with too little mental energy to do what is necessary to lose weight, which is simple, but not always easy - eat less, move more, be patient.2

As others have said, patience is required, two weeks is soon soon to tell... keep tracking those calories and give it some time, weight loss will happen if you consistently have a calorie deficit.2

Sent you a private message. I don't know if you are familiar enough with the website. Put " find my messages" in Help search if you can't see it.
Hope to hear back,

Why can't you share your advice here on the board?
OP - when someone tells you to go to private messages instead of sharing on your thread, they usually are trying to sell you something.4
