Do you think that a kittywalk like this one is necessary for them to enjoy a secure environment outside?
There are lots of ways to do outside safe for kitty! I personally have a screened in porch. Other people use catteries- if you get a tall one you can set it up right next to a window and that can be the in/out point for your cat. Below is one from Walmart or if you are handy you can build your own.
