Ok, I'll bite. Did your dog make it home?5

Time to start leaving the pup at home on the longer runs, I had to make that decision recently too 🙁. He will get to go with again on the short runs when the weather gets nice! What's your dogs name, what breed? 😊0

I assume that was a joke or said as an exaggeration but just in case:
if you plan to keep running "so fast the dog cannot keep up" you need to leave the dog at home. they are a living breathing creature who also need to work towards proper conditioning not just be taken out and dragged down the street. This is how dogs get injuries that blow your pocketbook.5 -

Side note: doggie insurance is very inexpensive, when I had my doggies I was paying $15/month for both of them. That covered everything!!! It's cheap as animal medicine isn't run by corporations looking to make millions, but generally independent vets doing what they love and just trying to make a decent living.3 -
So what did you do with your doggie? Lol0

Exactly -- imagine how you would feel if someone was dragging you along at a faster pace than you were comfortable running. It's not any different for a dog.1 -
the dogs need training too
speed demon can do 7 on a good day. old girl has done 17. she won't admit she is old but i won't bring her on anything past 6. otherwise the next day she is sore...
hoping to keep training speed demon up so she can join me on my longer runs but now, just midlength and she loves itold girl in white, speed demon in black
speed demon after our last 4 miler
yay on the four. keep training the dog. consider c25k or b210k. though admittedly not all dogs like running, just like people. some are more potatoes

yeah any decent coverage here is $65++/mt
depends on geography, dog breed/size/age.1
