Swap egg for chips?

I am making scrambled eggs with my dinner but my diary says I am consuming more then my limit for today. I also have chips and these have less fat content.
Seems strange to me, but should I substitute the egg with a few more chips? I'll still be within my calorie count and means I stay within my fat limit too.
To me there is more benefits in the eggs then the chips though.
Cheers.

Your calories are what matter...going over your fat count isn't really relevant to anything.
Eggs have way more nutritional value than chips.7 -
I never worry about going over fat or protein. I tend to think of them as minimums. Getting as close to calorie target is more important.4

I'll keep that in mind.nutmegoreo wrote: »I never worry about going over fat or protein. I tend to think of them as minimums. Getting as close to calorie target is more important.
That's good. I'll just try and do that.2 -

this. It's important to meet minimum quantities of these, and there isn't really a maximum to avoid unless you have a special medical condition.1 -
Personally, I purposefully try to get OVER my fat target every day to be sure I'm getting enough. And I turned off the "insights" that were popping up those silly warnings as soon as they gave us the functionality to do so. Eat what you like. Hit your calorie goals. Get plenty of nutrition. Profit.3

I'm trying to lose weight. Should I still try to hit my calorie goal? I have some calories left for today but I don't feel hungry. (Red Grapes in the fridge with my name on it!)
Think I need to read up a bit more about dieting tbh.
Thank you though.0 -

That's going to depend on a few things, but if you are genuinely not hungry, I wouldn't worry about it (if it is only happening once in a while). You can always eat a few extra calories tomorrow. Many people look at their weekly target, rather than a daily target. That way if they are having a big meal one day, they can cut back a little the rest of the week to even it all out.2 -

If you're short on protein, I would eat even if you're not feeling hungry--not red grapes but something to get your protein up to target of course.1 -
Cheers. Think I shall leave it then. My calories isn't ridiculously low today.0
