    Whatdya think @Motorsheen ?

I liked it on a lot of levels.

    Best Picture ? Dunno... maybe

I too thought it was rather well made. My sister's man-friend suggested she watch it. I went into the film thinking, "OMG ... It's going to be like the movie "Swamp thing!"

Funny you mentioned Best Picture ... Thought the Mexican Director's style being reminiscent of Roberto Benigni.

    In my humble opinion,

The best director today is also from Mexico city. ...

    See.... Birdman & The Revenant

I did watch the Revenant, thrice. Loved it! Birdman ... No. I didn't catch that one. Wasn't into movies between 2014-2015, so if it was made during those years, I clearly missed it. I'm going to look it up.

    Thanks Motorsheen! 🤗

So I'm watching the new Jack Ryan series on Amazon and it's pretty good.....

'Cept there is one actor who plays a CIA Operative, and it's this guy:

    giphy.gif

    Dilly Dilly!

It's difficult to take him seriously in the Jack Ryan series.

Was that the most recent one? They should've let the franchise die off and go extinct like the real dinosaurs.

Searching. Way better than the trailer suggested. Debra Messing was great.

She was wasn't she? A great switch over with normative comedic actors.

I just watched it!! It’s not bad. I think they could have picked a different guy as the main character though.

Jack Ryan is actually supposed to be kind of meek in the beginning. Harrison Ford's portrayal of Ryan is stated to have been too strong for how Tom Clancy intended.

I just found out that my favourite Clancy novel "Without Remorse" is being adapted to movie. This movie has John Clark as the main character, and is kind of a mentor to Ryan. I'm excited for this movie to happen!!

I am somewhat intrigued by the Tom Clancy books now. I used to read A LOT and have fallen out of that as of late. I do believe I may have to pick up these books and start down the line on reading them.

I've enjoyed a number of his books, and will get back to reading them again after I finish my class I'm in now.

Another author I want to read is Louis L'Amour. I enjoy Western stories, and remember my grandfather reading a lot of his novels years ago. I'd like to see a number of his books get converted to movies as well.

It was good. Realistic? No. But was exactly what I expected. Good entertainment. And got to see J-Gar relive her Alias kickassery. I love her.

    In a world...
meh. i like lake bell and the plot was ok but i didn't care at the climax. and some of the actors could not pull the quirkiness off that the script and movie required.

went to watch molly's game-no longer on hulu
maybe will watch "horns" on vudu this weekend
did not like revenant. took itself very seriously
    liked birdman.
not a fan of tom cruise thus not a fan of jack ryan movies.

comedy actors doing serious...robin william wins though his last movies were just plan sad and painful and hurt to watch.

Tom Cruise never played Jack Ryan.

    Alec Baldwin
    Harrison Ford
    Ben Afflick
    Chris Pine

Those are the actors to portray him in movies before the current TV series, who is played by John Krasinski (The Office and 13 Hours).
