Okay so I'm watching a friends kids for her while she is taking care of her sick father and the nanny is here. She has the WORST attitude ever. She is mean to the kids, lazy, and complains about absolutely everything! It is exhausting to deal with her while trying to take care of 4 kids. Any tips on how to deal with someone who is a debbie downer?

When she does something mean or crappy just say right up front that you are the one watching them and she is employed to assist and all her actions as such will be reported on.

that and get a note pad and write it down in front of her so she sees you writing everything she does and I'm sure she'll change her tune
  • Just stick it out till your friends gets back. When your friend gets back tell her everything.. maybe she'll consider getting some type of cam or talk to this nanny about her behavior. The kids don't need negativity, kids already have enough everywhere else they go they should feel safe and wanted at home..

Sorry that's happening, but you are a much better person for not saying anything to her.

Why are you even friends with her then? I mean if she was your friend then why not discuss it with her before blasting her.

I agree with Carl. The Mom definitely needs to know how the Nanny treats the kids. In the meantime, speak up and tell her how you feel :)

I'd tell her to pull the broomstick out of her *kitten* and take a ride. But that's just me.

It's not her friend she's talking about, it's her friends nanny.

I don't have any advice as I have a hard time keeping my opinion to myself to start with so, haha.

Straight up pretend like she doesn't exist. Take the kids outside or something. Just don't respond by being a passive-aggressive beyotch in return. Don't let her affect your emotions.

If there is a nanny there are you still watching the kids? I thought that was the nanny's job.
