I am doing it..I really am losing weight!

Sometimes the scale lies (water retention, particularly once a month for women), the mirror lies (we can't see our bodies change), but clothing always tells the truth! Snug pants falling off, yep, that's honesty letting you know that you need a smaller size and a belt would also be a good investment to prevent embarrassing situations where your pants do fall off (only happened to me once, then I immediately bought a belt).
Oh yes I agree haha! I got a belt at the thrift the other day. I have a pair of goal jeans that are wayyyyy too small...for now!
Oh yes, for a real eye opener; save one pair of your pants from your heaviest. Just jam them into that back of your closet. When it comes time to really shock someone (and yourself) take a picture of your new smaller size pants with your biggest ones.
Also, I have completed repurchased my entire wardrobe twice over now, including socks. The socks one shocked me a bit, didn't realize how much I would lose on my feet.9 -
I went clothes shopping in the depths of my closet, and found pants I can now wear, and they don't have elastic waistbands!! And I fit into a beautiful sparkly Christmas top, that used to be too small, and I've never worn before!17

And you have such AMAZING blue eyes!krystlpierce wrote: »I hate pictures of myself, but I felt so great after my hike today that I took a selfie! Then I posted it on Facebook and made it my profile picture! Then I posted it on here! What's happening to me?! Lol

I cut out a beautiful blue lace dress about 8 weeks ago, then I never sewed it up. I finally sewed it this weekend and I am needing to take it in! Now I just need my husband to take me somewhere special so I can wear it. We are going to Paris in December but I am hoping it is way to big by then.22

@jrochest thank you!2

I heard about thigh gaps. But not toe gaps! I was sitting and looked down at my bare feet and noticed gaps between each of my toes. Where did those come from!?

I just got back from a holiday and my friends took lots of pictures from lots of different angles - including bikini shots and I don’t hate any of them27

I went on a bike ride this morning . I did the same route as I did on Wed and I cut 8 minutes off my time and I only had to get off and push my bike up hill 1 time instead of the 3 I had to do last time. There are 4 steep up hill climbs and I long steepish climb. I feel so accomplished as I was really fighting myself to go this morning. Also last Sat I told my husband I wanted to do that route but was thinking it would be a "someday when I'm more fit "route. Decided that Wed was that day. And I'm so so happy I did!!!25

Another Saturday in China with nothing but time. So I pushed my swimming distance record a little further.
17.6km (11 miles). It took 6:25:37. My wife got mad when I told her. She's worried that I'd have a heart attack over 7k miles from home.

I took a picture with my husband and my double chin is gone!38

Deadlift is up again today. 265 - 1x5 - 2x2. A new PR. I'll get more reps next week. Might take 10 minutes of rest between sets.16

@ExistingFish @Evelyn_Gorfram @AnnPT77. Thanks for the ideas and for taking the time to write such detailed replies. Here's what a did. I was at the thrift store with my son (he likes to buy old movies there). I looked for something denim that I could cut up to make belt loops and bought a pair of toddler jeans for $2. When I got home I realized I could use the belt loops from those jeans. I have stitched them down by oversewing the top and bottom with waxed button thread. Now to see how well they hold up17

I ate 1/2 a large peach for dessert tonight even though my husband bought chocolate ice cream. I resisted.25

I have a set of interlinked NSVs today!
I'm travelling for work this week and today I actually used the hotel gym! I had packed my gym clothes but part of me doubted I would actually go through with it based on past unfulfilled good intentions...but I did!! What's more, I ran for 20 minutes (c25k) after a full/active day of sightseeing. I'll also be heading to bed with over 30,000 steps today (= new fitbit badge) for the first time!
I'm achy but very happy!34 -
After seeing my cardiologist this week, he attested that my extra systoles are almost completely gone (not through something I did), and that my shortness of breath when doing even the slightest exercise (walking up one flight of stairs, trying to chat with friends while walking etc.) is probably not heart related at all but might instead be exercise-induced asthma, which is easily fixable. I consider that a major win, as it gives me hope that exercise could be fun for me again, and that I might actually have a chance to build stamina again.31

I walked the 1.2 miles each way to and from church this morning, just because I can.
And I have decided that tomorrow I'm going to join the kickboxing gym I tried out last week!20 -

There's also finger gaps. Usually discovered trying to catch crumbs swept off the table or while getting ready to shampoo and everything slips through your fingers .15 -
Started to put on a few pounds over the summer but nsv is that I'm back to my healthier ways! It can get tiring calorie counting all the time so it felt good to take a break and know I could get back on track19

I felt like crap all week, but stuck to my goal of at least 30 minutes of exercise 5x a week! It's true that motivation does NOT last, but discipline and good habits will. I would have much rather stayed in bed all weekend. I think the fresh air and getting out of bed did me some good because I feel almost at 100%... almost.26

I've got a couple that all happened at once: I put on one of my vintage style dresses yesterday and it didn't immediately need to stretch to fit! My face looks better and I'm only a few more pounds away from being able to contour my jawline when I'm doing my makeup!!24

Road my bike 53 miles yesterday. I felt good and probably could have gone more relatively easily.
Didn't feel my legs as much as I had from previous rides hours to the next day after when going downstairs in my home.
Just might get a century ride in before the end of the season this year.21 -

Wow! Out of curiosity how long does a 53 mile ride take? Never went that far !7 -

Just over 3.5 hours according to my Fitbit Surge.
According to Map My Ride, which tries to auto-stop the clock if I'm stopped due to traffic and what not, it claimed 2:27 for the 34.9 miles up to the brunch stop and 1:07 for the 18.4 miles back.
Fought with wind and rode with a slower rider for 21 of the 34.5 miles up or my speed would have been faster.
I averaged 16.5 MPH with a full belly on the way back. Wind helped a bit, but still had some cross winds which negate some of the help.
I do know that dropping 50# has added 3-4 MPH to my average speeds.16
