I did not eat my feelings when someone called me a fat @$$ when I was walking to my car. I journaled my feelings, played my piano, looked at my trending downward weight and cried a little bit and moved on. Success! Although not going to lie, I hate people a little more now, present company excluded.
People are utter *holes, aren't they? Although, when you come to think of it, you're a thousand times better off than they are -- no matter what your weight.
After all, you'll be smaller (or not) but they'll always be the kind of ****** who would yell an insult at a total stranger on the street.17 -
A coworker called me skinny today.
Then I got home from the gym and my husband called me slim.
Then, on the way to bed, I was nearly to 10K steps, so I did 50 jumping jacks to get me there. Didn't just walk in circles, actually did something that got my heart pumping!31 -
I tucked my cup next to my hip in The car seat today.24

Raised my avg steps by 1000/day this week.23

The clerk suggested a slim fit, skinny 27L... Holy crap a 27!!!! In juniors. Then she said that I'm lucky that I can pull off any style of jeans I want because I'm "athletic", so I never look weird in different style. A 27, and being decribed as "athletic" by a stranger.
This is seriously the best feeling! This isn't recent – it happened about 10 years ago the first time I lost weight. I was browsing swimsuits in the plus section and a saleslady came up to me and said, "Honey, these are women's. Your section is over here!" and pointed to the regular size section. I still remember that vividly.
The "you're to skinny for this section", even if it's said in the meanest and rudest possible way, is one of the greatest things a person that is actively losing weight can ever hear.
I exercise for health, even though sometimes I can do a lot (exercise for mental health too- my daughter is 17 and I'm back in school aka my classmates are her age 😵🤪🤬). I have never thought of myself as athletic, ever.19 -
I ran a steady 6.5 mph doing C210K, all the while my size medium tights were falling down. The scale isn't moving much, but my pants are getting so loose!27

So, I do some extreme workouts near daily, so usually onlookers might be impressed. But lately, I've been impressed. I even considered competing. But then I found out you have to wear a singlet and decided against it for now. No one wants to see that, LOL! Maybe when I'm down another 20lbs.
But not just the lifts, but the flexibility has improved greatly. Even handstands are easier to get into. It was like, weeks of workout after workout was meh, blah, whatevs, better than nothing, then, suddenly, wow, wonderful! It feels like I'm on a new level. Can't wait to get back to gymnastics class now!

501 days on my journey, 365 days maintaining my weight loss achievement. Feeling great and I learned to like myself again. Who would have ever thought losing weight could be so empowering..37

I did this! (I have no idea why the video is sideways.) I believe the chain is 12 pounds.

Yesterday was my boss' birthday. Someone came and cooked for us, and I ate only steamed shrimp and corn on the cob and maybe 4 french fries. I also (more importantly) resisted double chocolate cake and ice cream! Looked up the calories as closely as I could approximate and decided it just wasn't worth it to make it fit. And today, the cake is still on the table in the kitchen, wafting its chocolatey goodness through the air... and I am still resisting!40

Um, this NSV may be TMI, but -
For the last year or two, I've had trouble with bladder incontinence issues. The doctor says it's probably due to my weight putting pressure on my bladder, which, sadly, make perfect sense. But since I've lost just these first 10-15 pounds, I haven't been"caught short" at all, and I just realized this morning that my only reason for changing my pajama pants these past couple weeks has been to get dressed in street clothes.58 -
I joined a gym last week and today I did my entire 30 min warm up on the treadmill at an incline at 3.0 speed.26

My bust became size 8 (Aussie) today, for measurement day! That's my goal size, and it means I've lost 3 sizes in that area!26
-
I played slowpitch softball today and did not injure my back! My core is strong enough to hit again 🏆20

I was at the grocery store and was going to buy 3 bags of Hershey bars... you know, just to have a little something after dinner. I knew it was a bad idea (right now) because I'd succumb to emotions and eat an entire bag that night. So, the chocolate stayed at the store and out of my house!44

I measured myself and I’ve lost 4.5” overall since December 2017!34

Yesterday i snacked while cooking supper. After supper I was really tempted but did not have my normal evening snacks. It was tough and i really had to fight the urge! Success.29

Today at my step class I managed to not have to stop and take any breaks while everybody kept going! Made me so happy with myself to know my endurance is picking up.27

Woah. Work was giving out swag for our event tomorrow, and I had to grab an XS. I literally had to go into the washroom and try both the S and the XS to make sure I was correct. The XS is fitted more (little more rubber ducky showing than I'd like) but it fits.
Part of me is like, lol, these sizes are whacked. The other part of me is in my head going ?!?!?!? XS?!24 -

That's amazing! So cool7 -
@motivatedmartha Thank you! I admit, my hands were shaking a little at the strange situation I found myself in... trying on both shirts in the washroom over and over. XD7

A few this week: I finally got up the nerve to have one of my super fit BFFs spot me on bench. I’ve been too embarrassed, since she can bench her body weight and I can barely hit 55%, but I did it! Part of the reason I’m not progressing is bc I have no spotter and I’m scared I’ll hurt myself. So yay for progress!
And, The shorts that have been stretched uncomfortably tight fit fine this morning without me having to pre-stretch them!
Finally, Went to another dr yesterday for my hip pain—he commented, “This (placing the giant needle in your hip via ultrasound) shouldn’t take long, since you’re so small”. Later the MRI tech had to go get a wedge to keep some plate thing down on my hip “because I’m so slim”. Even though I know their usual patient base is rather larger than average, still makes me feel good after feeling like a giant slug after so many weeks of enforces rest.27 -
Today I found a dresser drawer full of scrub tops from 2 years ago. I tried one of them on and I'm "swimming" in it. Time to take apart and remake them. I was a size 2XL now I'm wearing medium!36

I have been eating under goal by a fair bit (200-300 calories) everyday because I just have not been hungry. Yesterday I had a hungry day, and did not feel bad about eating over. I was even close to maintenance. Normally I would feel bad even though I am still under goal for the week. Healthy mindset about food is a great thing for me!34

A coworker saw me at the gym a couple weeks ago and we started talking... she invited me to try a kickboxing class with her. I went to the class tonight and didn't die! Hardest workout I've done in ages, but felt awesome finishing it, and even better that other people now see me as a healthy, active person, so it wasn't weird that she invited me to a really hard kickboxing class!25

I took 2 pairs of pants to the dry cleaners and picked them up after 2 weeks. They don't fit anymore. I'm happy but a little pissed I paid to dry clean pants I can't wear. Life is good.25

Bought my first Large Tall shirts since the early 1990s.
I've been buying either XLT or XXL (for the length) and I was starting to get lost in my XLT shirts, so wifey and I picked out three LT shirts after trying them on.
So I've gone from 38w pants/jeans that were getting tight to 34w pants/jeans that are comfortably loose in the past 7 months.
Woot!26 -
Wore a tight tank top at the gym; didn't look ridiculous. Actually looked pretty good in a fit/trim way; some good upper body definition.24
