Sort of a scale thing cos the big atlas stone weighs in at 65kg...I lifted and put a 65kg atlas stone over the yoke after lifting it four times (3 failed attempts at getting it over)...or 143lbs if you measure in pounds...I am soooo stoked. 75kg stone here I come...looks like tacky is on the to buy list....oh and the 70kg bench press went up no problems, twice....strength on the rise even though I am in quite a steep deficit...16

A customer was talking to me about cake today & I said that salted caramel was my favourite.
She responded "Well, you don't look as if you eat much of it!"
Knock me over with a feather!
Folk who aren't aware of your large weight loss can be the most surprising. In a few weeks I'll be moving 300 miles away & noone at all will know how I looked for the majority of my life!
Think it will be almost be a relief not to be talking about weightloss so frequently(still 20lbs to go at the very least!), but also very odd if more comments like the above are made haha!
I genuinely didn't know how to react so I just laughed & said "Ahh, I have plenty - can't resist it!" but in my mind I'm flashbacking to when I used to have huge slices practically daily...
I'd love to know what some of you think/feel/say with similar comments?28 -
I got checked out by multiple people on my walk to work from the train station this morning. Nothing like this has happened in close to 6 months!19

My Mom said I look like I'm at my high school weight. I'm actually 20lbs away from that if memory serves me, but still made me smile. Closest to high school weight I've been since undergrad which was...8 years ago.25

I have now influenced the 2nd person I know to get a fit bit of their own, lol. Soon I will have an army of fitbit users. Soon.20

It was my sons birthday yesterday, family custom is birthday person chooses what and where we eat, he chose Indian take away, nsv is I took a portion, enjoyed it, then didn’t go back for seconds, or thirds. Felt very proud of myself24

I did not eat my feelings when someone called me a fat @$$ when I was walking to my car. I journaled my feelings, played my piano, looked at my trending downward weight and cried a little bit and moved on. Success! Although not going to lie, I hate people a little more now, present company excluded.
I'm so sorry somone did this! How rude!5 -
My VO2 MAX has improved from poor, to fair, to good in the last several months.20

@Vonny198334 I get comments like that at work now. Just about everyone that knew I was heavy have left the company. So now, people make observations thinking I've never been obese, and it's strange. At first, I corrected them, reminding myself in the process, that oh no I was very heavy. Now I do not. I am proud of the success I've had (still want a good 40lbs more) and do not want to necessarily own the me I was. Not for weight alone, at least. I show people now my before and after (or well the after-that-is-the-here-and-now; I am not done) and they are astounded.12

I was waiting outside my boys’ school, in shorts and a T-shirt, with my 8 yo’s Ninja Turtle backpack over one shoulder talking with my younger son and his friends. I turned to say hi to a friend I rarely see and she did a double take—she thought I was one of the 8th graders waiting for her parents!20

I find it really hard to fathom why someone would be so rude and hurtful. Is their life so bad that they need to do that to feel good about themselves? Beggars belief! Well done on not letting it result in comfort eating - don't spoil your success because of one sh1t. You can change your weight - they appear to have a problem changing an ugly heart x Keep going and keep smiling3 -
I'm thiiiiiiiiis close to conquering my own Dragon Dress. It's a lot clingier than the clothes I usually wear, so I haven't quite been brave enough to wear it out yet. I tried it on today and felt pretty good, though.23

What a horrible thing to happen, and well done you for rising above it. Don't let the *kitten* grind you down9 -
Today I had someone tell me that the weight loss thing was going well and it looked like I was doing good with it. I was up today in pounds, but at least LOOK okay. I did a 3 mile run today when I got home since it's cool enough to do cardio outside again.20

In the past week 2 different people told me that I'm glowing and look so happy and healthy. Once I could shrug it off but by the second time I accepted the compliment. I do believe I'm glowing!!!
Own those NSVs, people. We've earned every single one!!25 -
A coworker just asked me why I was wearing a fitness tracker because I'm already "skinny."
I'm in by no means skinny....but the fact she noticed I was smaller made me crazy happy. But side note, fitness trackers are for everyone any size.24 -
There's a vein that's slightly raised down the length of my forearm - I'm kind of infatuated with it!20

I started eating better again on September 4th and my energy level is 80% better than it's been in the past year! HUGE deal for me and loving life again23

Also, a lot of people are skinny BECAUSE they wear fitness trackers. It's possible to decide what weight you want to be and get that result.13 -

Exactly! And honestly from my personal observation, I've seen more fit people wearing them than not.8 -
Well I have been on this diet for about a month, going to the gym and wasn't seeing results. I almost gave up and decided to put on this shirt that I used to love but couldn't even get it over my stomach. Well I said heck I am going to try it on and it fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was happy.23

This NSV is all thanks to God. I have really struggled in this area, and I'm so happy at how far I've come.
Have you ever been in a room of people, and see some people rushing in late, in wrinkled clothes, chipped nail polish, no makeup, messy hair, emptying their entire bag for looking for a pen, and sweating?
And you see someone else, that got there a few minutes early and are calm, cool and collected with their hair, nails and makeup impeccably done, smelling like light perfume, in a nice outfit that subtly shows off the fact that they workout and can find whatever they need in their purse immediately? I always wondered about these women - how do they do it?!
Yesterday I was at a meeting, and realized I was that woman people were looking at wondering how I do it. It was one of those vague goals that you always felt like you are constantly working towards, but it's always out of reach. It was only yesterday that I realized how much my efforts are paying off. I am so thankful.

I've tried on my autumn/winter clothes. I knew some things would be too big and had to go... the NSV is that EVERYTHING is too big to wear. I need to buy everything!
(My credit car doesn't look too happy at the prospect )22 -
800 days of logging and more than 100 lbs lost. Definitely pleased with myself today.56

Yesterdays NSV was doing reverse crunches. When I started at my gym, I had no core strength and couldn't even do one. Yesterday, I did multiple sets!27

I have a cold and just really want some chocolate. But I am lying in bed drinking water and eating an orange. Today, that is enough!32

Set a new personal swimming distance record of 16 06km, (10 miles)
Sure, it is only in a pool. But not everyone has access to safe places for open water swimming.

Had to go to the doctor's clinic today. The nurse asked me to step on the scale. For once I didn't try and talk my way out of it or feel incredibly embarrassed. And as a bonus, the doc's scale reading matched my bathroom scale reading from this morning! So I was really pleased as I had wondered if my scales were broken as I am finding my new current weight hard to believe
Oh wait ... is this a "non-scale" victory - well, yeas, in a way, I believe it is. Ironically it's about scales though.32 -

YOU SWAM 16KM IN A POOL!?!?!? Wow, I am seriously in awe here, I mean seriously. I don't think my pool is open long enough in a day for me to swim 16 km. That is amazing - not something I'd ever attempt, but amazing nonetheless. Congratulations on one of the coolest NSVs I've ever seen!
