Worked out. I've been sick for the past one week and I have a long weekend, so when I woke up the last thing I wanted was to do anything, but I forced myself and got through 2/3 of my workout routine and it kicked my butt but now I feel just great.21

A few years ago I bought a pair of skinny jeans. They were quite tight, but I'd been wearing a lot of skinny jeans at the time this was fairly normal. However, what they weren't was slightly stretchy (which most jeans are nowadays) So after a few wears, the seam on the side ripped slightly, up by the hips. I put them into my heap of clothes to fix, and forgot about them. About a year and a half ago I fished them out (when my other pair of jeans started to go) and fixed them up, repaired and strengthened the seam and ... I couldn't fit them on. They were a size UK10 at the time I had just about stopped kidding myself that I was a size 10 and went up to a 12. So I wasn't too upset by it, but it was annoying because I needed to buy some new jeans. I put them back into the bottom of my draw and forgot about them.
On Monday I realised that I hadn't washed either of my pairs of jeans over the weekend and had no jeans to wear to work. With the prospect of having to wear my old "office" trousers, I found these jeans sitting there at the bottom of the draw and I thought, well why not try them? And they fit. Whereas previously I physically could not get them past my hips, I could now. And again, they were tight, but wearable.
The thought occurs if I keep loosing, I could end up finding them not tight anymore. But lets not get ahead of myself.

Got my lipid panel results from my physical this week.
Significant improvements across the board. I was expecting some change. I was surprised at how much. This was 1 year ago to this week.
Past/Present (goal)
Total cholesterol: 252/148 (<200)
HDL: 54/54 (>50)
LDL: 169/81
Non HDL Chol: 198/94 (<130)
Triglycerides: 143/47 (<150)
Chol/HDL Ratio: 4.7/2.7 (<5.0)
Anyway, made me happy.32 -

After taking about 3 months off from running, I started right where I left off with my C25K app and managed just fine! Probably a slower pace, but I’m happy with myself. Which is another NSV!25

My clothes have gotten so baggy that yesterday I realized they don't even look good anymore. Going to take a "negative" and turn it into a positive - a bit of shopping in smaller sizes25

My A1C is 6.2!!20

I got my period back 😄 hope that's not TMI, but most likely due to undereating and overstressing/training last year, I haven't had one in nearly a whole year. So getting it back means I must be taking much better care of my body now
I also have confidence now to wear shorts in public, and the shorts I wear finally fit me after them being too tight for like 8 years (since 6th grade) 😄 and a pair of skinny jeans that once got so tight the button nearly ripped off, now fit me! (but they're ugly to me now so i still can't wear them lmao).
And my extended family can tell I've lost weight and look healthier every time I show up to a family event 💪33 -
a coworker asked if i've been losing weight, and although it's only 16 pounds, i guess it's noticeable!29

I ate 2 oreos after lunch and then stopped!38

Two NSV's in one pic

2. Size 6 skinny jeans!

I can feel and see that my arms and shoulders are getting some muscle definition where just a few months ago I was annoyed at how flabby and fat they where starting to look.15

My fly in my denim shorts now stays up18

I used to barely get through a few minutes on the elliptical machine. Today, I made it 22 minutes! I'm going to add a minute extra every few days until I get to 30 minutes or more. And I felt great afterwards!35

Wore my shirt tucked in to my pants at work.28

Both my weight and measurements started moving again in a way that actually feels like I'm not plateauing anymore. Honestly there hasn't been a plateau since July as my weekly average weight has been going down consistently, but now I reached a new record low and my measurements went lower as well, so it feels better.
Clothing NSV's, with great sadness: one of my favourite pairs of yoga pants is getting too big. I can still wear them to non-workout activities (wearing them right now for a Saturday at the empty office), but these tight-fit yoga pants now have a flared ankle. WTF? I had to roll them a little so they fit correctly, good thing it's still the summer so it's ok to have pants that are 2 inches too short. Another clothing NSV: my boobs are apparently finally getting smaller. After continuous boob growth for literally the past 15 years, it looks like I might be done. My left boob is slightly larger than the right one, so my most recent bras were perfect for righty and a bit tight for lefty. Now they're perfect on left and a bit loose on right. I'm thrilled the growth seems to have stopped, but bras are freaking expensive.
I started a new college program this semester, and this week has been freshmen orientation week. Read: lectures all day, parties all night. Repeat for 5 days straight. I have done university studies for the past 5 years and I'm not 19 anymore (thank god...), so on Thursday I skipped the lectures and went to the gym, and it was most at-home I felt all week. Last night I skipped the party and went to bed, so I could spend the day being productive at the office and catch up with all the work I've been missing this week. I repeat: my most at-home moment this week was AT THE GYM, and I was happy to skip a party so I could be more productive.24 -
1. I've lost 7 cm on my waist
2. My belt is in a hole it's never been in before
3. My black jeans, that used to barely fit in my heaviest days is now much too big, even fresh from the wash.33 -

Oh man, I know the feeling! I have 2 whole containers of oreos in my cupboard and I haven't touched them in 2 weeks! I had 1 the other day and felt super guilty! I don't know what I'm going to do with all of these oreos lol17 -
I just bought a new (small) belt a few weeks ago and then I had to wear the largest hole. Already moved to the second largest hole.18

I am two pant sizes down! This is another NSV....went to the thrift shop and only bought $26 worth of items.21

I did c25k W1D1 today and it went better than expected!
It's the third time I have started the programme - the last time was over 7 years ago (and at least 25lbs lighter) - but I remember it being much more difficult that time, and on my first attempt. I've never made it the full way through, as I always pushed too hard, got injured and then gave up. This time around, I am going to take it slowly. I feel like it's going to be third time lucky for me!! Who knows, maybe a Park Run might launch me into 2019!17 -

Yay!!!! Now that's an awesome feeling! (Although no one that have never been obese truly understands to joy of just being overweight).
Tips from having to completely rebuy my entire wardrobe, twice:
Used clothing!!! You're mid weight loss, don't spend too much money on them.
Slightly snug. You're going to shrink into them, so as long as you can get it on without it being ridiculous, buy clothes slightly snug on you. It'll give you some extra time.
Dollar Store: yes, thier clothes is cheap crappy material, but you don't need it to last more than a few months.
Belts: the one thing you should spend a bit more on. A good, highly adjustable belt. When jeans start getting a bit loose, a good belt will keep you from having the embarrassment of your pants falling off in public (happened to me, I'm so happy I had cute boyshort underwear on and not my back-of-the-drawer period granny panties).
Wrap or corset dresses!!!! AKA, adjustable for a good 3-4 sizes.15 -
I found a bag of Sprouts Hatch green chili chips in my pantry. I bought them as a treat for myself some time ago. The bag is mostly full and way past the "best by" date. I guess I just don't mindlessly snack the way I used to.16

Last Nov. I tried a bootcamp class (63 lbs heavier than today) and it was very tough! I was paired up for some exercise (I forget which one) with a girl who was a "regular". I remember thinking that I wish I could be in that good of shape. I have seen her at bootcamp and another class often and have chit chatted with her a fair bit.
Today at bootcamp we did a timed workout involving kettlebells, situps, box jumps, skipping, sprints, etc. and we had to get a total count of how many we did.
NSV 1: I got over 150 more than that same girl from last year did.
NSV 2: I am a regular.31 -
I was shaving my legs and noticed they were much more firmer, especially in the calves.18

Discovered tonight that for the first time in a lot of years that I can bend over and touch my toes without bending my legs! Last time I tried a few weeks ago I could only get to mid calf.17

A guy lamely struck up a conversation with me in the grocery store.
He wasn't really hitting on me, but he wasn't quite not hitting on me either. It had been so long since this had happened to me that I had forgotten that guys do that sometimes; but there he was asking a question about the price of meat (it had to be meat, I guess, given that we weren't close enough to any Freudianly suggestive produce) that he obviously didn't care about the answer to.
Just made me smile a bit.25
