Yes. Calories are all that matter for weight loss.6

Yes. Macros are important as part of your overall nutritional picture (you want to get enough protein and fat) and satiety, but calories are still king for weight loss.5

I was wondering same thing... like for instance ,...my breakfast this morning, I had one whole egg, one egg white ,a whole avocado and some salsa.. my fat macros
are higher than they should0 -
As long as you're in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight. (Caveat: weight loss isn't linear. Water retention can mask fat loss from week to week. But the likely culprit(s) are more like sodium, time of month, higher-than-usual carbs, etc. Whatever the cause, it's temporary if annoying.)0

You're going to be eating all day, so judge your macros by that (not a single meal).
Also, like was said above, if you're trying to lose weight, it's the calories that are crucial. The macros are just to ensure you meet your nutritional needs.3 -
Thanks for the answers so far! Also should I be eating the calories I earn from exercise or no ????? Really confused on that one0

You should eat at least a portion of them back, especially if you're burning a lot. Take a 25-minute walk and don't be overly concerned; that's probably going to be in the neighborhood of 100 calories, give or take (variables include your weight, the speed of your walk, and the type of terrain). A 60-minute walk or a 30-minute run? Different story.
Calorie burns can be hard to estimate accurately. I generally eat back about half and keep the rest as a buffer against inaccurate calculations, both on my food intake and exercise burns.
The thing to remember is that when you exercise, your body needs more fuel. Otherwise, there's a limit to how much fat you can burn in a given period of time. Once you hit that, if your deficit is too aggressive, your body will start in on muscle. Other side effects of not adequately fueling your workouts include:- Not having the energy to work out as hard, so you're burning less than you think
- Overall depleted energy to get you through the rest of the day
- Increased hunger
- Thinning hair, brittle nails, and other issues as your body stops fueling less-essential systems
Note that these effects don't always hit right away. A lot of people go through a "honeymoon" phase, where they feel great despite running too high a deficit. Problem is, it doesn't last and when the crash hits, it often hits hard.5 -

Day 2 on keto and IF... I fast from 7pm to 11am and could only eat half my breakfast and honestly kinda feeling like part of it wants to come back up. Anybody have a difficult time changing from low to high fats?? Btw I lost 4 lbs since yesterday.... But I know it was pretty much water.0

You'll get the most direct answer regarding nausea and starting keto from a keto-specific thread.
Keto and IF are not requisite to losing weight, only a caloric deficit is. If trying to use those mechanics are making it hard (or harder than it has to be) to hit your calories or make you feel unwell, you may consider a different approach that doesn't have this effect.3 -

Bottom line, yes, eat them.
Here is another @Sidesteel (written) thread about all this:
