Hi a newbie here wondering if going to the steam room alone without exercise burns calories and is there any proof that going to the steam room after a workout benefits you i,e weight loss, muscle gain etc what do you folk do when it comes to the steam room👍

Oh, how I wish. Obesity would never exist if taking a steam room is all it took. Don’t you think?5

It doesn't burn calories. It just makes you sweat which can cause weight loss until you hydrate and return.to normal.

I thought that👍 I have just read in some articles that if you hit the steam room after a session it can prolong the metabolism speed at least for a while I usually hit it after the gym just to chill out really nothing else.1

When I do the steam room, it feels like I should do something, anything, it is hard for me to sit still. Nameste1

Any differences you can make to your metabolism (as in your BMR/RMR) without using illegal substances basically amounts to 0.01% of nothing.3
