Any backstage people on here?

I have a question about how you guys log your workouts. Do any of you log flying as part of a workout? Especially if it’s not a standard part of your regular day. I’m currently flying a show for a week (including loading the cradles) however this isn’t what I do all the time in theatre. I’m usually on lighting or sound which can be much more sedentary compared to flying.

Hey! I usually have a step counter and sorta use that as a guide :) I know it's gonna be more (backstage work is telling some show nights lol) but it stops me over estimating the burn.

Hey fellow theatre people. Happy to see that subject line! I’m more front of stage these days - but loading the cradles and flying the sets are a great workout. Never thought about it. I’d log it under strength training - like using a pulley for weight at the gym. Check out cable row and standing rows.

Yeah I have my phone counting my steps it’s just the more strenuous work that is difficult to categorise to log.

I’ll look them up and then maybe start a new exercise dedicated to flying/stage building.
