Sorry I havent posted much here. Been very busy at work and with life in general. Little time to visit MFP, but plenty of time to get my morning rides in.

Managing five rides per week and 2 gym sessions on my "off" days. My Garmin connect calendar is full of pink boxes for the month.
Totals for Sept 3 to Sept 9: 123.62 miles
Totals for Sept 10 to Sept 16: 123.80 miles
Totals for Sept 17 to Sept 23: 127.49 miles
So far over 4 rides this week: 90.19 with a 45 miler planned for Sunday.
I think I am right in pace for the century I am training for on Nov 10.
Net results of my training: down 9 lbs in 5 weeks. Got another 5 or 6 to go.

Sorry to hear about the cancellation Sijomial. I would be disappointed too. Actually a dear friend sent us an invitation to his daughter's engagement party on the day of my century and I politely said no. Ill send my wife by herself. He couldn't understand that I am choosing to ride my bicycle over his party.
Livingthedream: re:Glasgow. This morning I was looking at airfare from California to Edinburgh for May 2019. Im sure we will visit Glasgow too. My nephew's wife is in a doctorate research program in St Andrews for a couple of years. Were coming to visit. Good excuse to tour Scotland.

Just got back from my longest ride ever 222km with 3000m of climbing, my previous longest was 128km. Thought id tackle the imperial century and the metric double in one go

Congratulations Awinner_au. Way to go. My longest is still 102 miles.
I got a 44 mile ride in this morning. 4 consecutive weeks ridding 5 days or more per week. But rain predicted for several days this coming week. Ive finished many rides in the rain, but I wont start one unless I am absolutely sure it is just a passing shower.
Total for the week: 5 rides 134.20 miles.
Total for September 2018: 21 rides, 531 miles, 34,145 calories (Yeah sure.... I don't trust Garmin). But I am down 9 to 10 lbs for the month. so maybe......

Are you into Randonneuring/Audax?
I would love to Audax but all the NSW rides seem to be on Saturday, i work Sat afternoons. Couple of the guys on the ride were Audaxers, they reckon that it is more forgiving than a group ride as you get to set your own pace, i would have certainly appreciated that yesterday.0 -
I haven't quite given up on chasing my climbing goal for the month....
Four big climbs today in the Surrey Hills A.O.N.B. - gorgeous scenery and roads really quiet today.
Managed to hit my climbing goal as last day of September was also first day of a cycling holiday in Cornwall. There's plenty of hills here for sure but strangely very few cyclists.
8279 meters of climbing, 41 hours and 628 miles for September.3 -
