Herbalife

You're new, so you need to know that most members have had bad experiences with the product, mostly because it costs more than things you can make yourself. They feel it is way overpriced for what you get and will tell you so. Also, people try to sell it on here which is not allowed. Most of these threads are negative. Welcome to MFP, and hope you reach your goals.

Used to sell it, it’s just one big gimmick. And I don’t dsay that based of “results” if you work out and supplement two meals and eat clean you going to lose weight, Herbalife or not. But it’s a gimmick for what they tell us in meetings.

I'm always suspicious when it's a first time poster, just joined today, asking "who's using Herbal Life"? Is it just me? Then they never come back. This happens a lot.

Never give your money to an MLM. If you have friends and family involved, it's hard, but say no. They need help out of the cult, not further in. Friends don't let friends have their entire life savings sucked off by predatory companies!

Arranging your own program based on individual needs (maybe even with a doctor helping) is always better than prepackaged. If you're not interested in a whole supplement program, a basic multivitamin and eating enough to hit your goals daily should be fine for the average person.

Businesses like that are like cockroaches. Nearly impossible to kill unless your superhuman fast (or have a big old can of bug spray on hand )

I've known many people who've lost tons of weight with Herbalife. Mostly in the back pocket.

Op please stay far away from mlm products.

I used to have IG and was so excited to share my transformation with others that were interested in fitness. I accepted requests from strangers based upon their profiles ( I know. I know. I was niave !) Anyway to make a long story short- these mlm peddlers were taking my images and then using them on their pages to peddle their products. They were saying stuff like " this person lost 30 lbs of fat and gained 10 pounds of muscle by using my xxx product!"
(I never used any of their products)
They stole my images to use as a marketing ploy . I hated seeing my pictures being used to take advantage of people who were ignorant still. I deleted my IG but still see my images pop up on other platforms from time to time.( I'm nothing overly special either so imagine what they do to people who really are exceptional looking!)

If the products really worked then why do they need to lie and deceive in order to make sales ? The answer is that the products are junk and overly priced. It's a scam. Stay far away from any mlm peddlers and don't rely on their products for results.

The OP is asking about the product, not the MLM process. However with many MLM the product doesn't matter it is trying to sell the idea of making lots of money by selling the idea of making lots of money.

@mush358 There is no miracle juice or food that will get you to lose weight.

I get that the op was inquiring about the product and not the business model but I honestly feel like it's still relative .
Like you said above, mlm is more about making money rather than making a quality product.

I once joined a weight loss challenge sponsored by herbalife at a local gym a co-worker invited me to attend classes at because the classes were *Free*. At the end of the challenge they had a conference that I can only describe as a cult meeting at a hotel conference room. Granted not once did I feel pressured to "join" their "family" but a lot of them believed, BELIEVED, the only way to get healthy and loss weight was with herbalife products. I didn't challenge their misguided statements, I came in 3rd place, won 100 bucks and a cool herbalife swag bag. I quickly left after that and didn't return to the "free" classes after.
