I'm in. I've already got myself determined to do a rigorous 12-week program of better eating and working out, both cardio and strength training.0
-
Many questions about what to do next. Any feedback? Do we just weigh in every week, copy/paste/update our original post? I've never joined a group before.0
-
I am a few days late of your start, but I just started under dr care. Would love to join the challange.0

Sounds like a plan0

I'm in! I've never done a MFP challenge, so this will be a first - not sure what's involved??0
-
I would love to join! What do I need to do?
It's never too late to get healthy or to join! Just post your current weight and weigh in weekly from now until Christmas! Also post some helpful tips, triumps, worries, NSV's and research you've found that would be helpful to others. Let's make this fun!

You can use the format below or make your own. Just copy and paste it and save it so you can add to it each week. If you don't know what your weight was on the 1st, just put in today's date and weight in place of Oct 1st, then follow from there. No rules really. Just post once per week and hope you reach your own personal goal. You can even change the weigh-in days if a particular day is better for you. Just list your preferred dates and try to weigh once per week. You can list your goal if you like. It can be weight loss, increase in fitness, inches lost, or any non-scale victory (NSV). You can tell us a little about yourself or not. You can share info that can help us. You can make overall comments next to your weight regarding how your week went, or not. Try to read all the new posts daily in case someone speaks out to you. You'll find you may learn a lot. And you will get a ton of support. By reading the other posts you will often see what people include. The person who started this challenge has never checked back in. So we are on our own in this. Let's have fun with it and make some progress by Christmas!

Yes please. I need to stay focused. Looking forward to the challenge 😘0

Had a super amazing dinner last night but went way over my calorie goal. Instead of saying "forget it" and eating everything I want this weekend, I'm counting and journaling my food and getting back on track. It's great to have this for support. Have a great weekend!0

Every day is a new opportunity to do what needs to be done...Don't let one bad day knock you completely off-track!1 -
Thanks for all those who have joined already. Here is the link to click thanks to an above member. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/128730-perseverance0

We will be at the first week's weigh in tomorrow. Feel free to come in, no matter when you see this post.0

-
ok so I am confused, the link to the perseverance group looks like it's a challenge to lose 4% of body weight by end october, not a christmas challenge?

I appreciate the suggestion but I’m staying here with this Christmas Challenge group!!!5
-
i'd like to join too!!1
-
It's too bad there isn't an official "Join" button. Any solutions or should we keep it as is?0
-
I think we'd have to create a group for that, this is on a message board, but no idea how we would do that. I think I'll stay over here too.
So I'm starting today (monday morning here in australia)
Start weight 103.7kg (228.6lb)
Current weight 103.7kg (228.6lb)
christmas goal 99.9kg (220.2lb)
I know i'm only going for a small loss but I'll be thrilled if I make it. Good luck to anyone weighing in today.2 -

I would really love to be 10 pounds lighter by the holidays. And I need extra ways to stay accountable around the upcoming meals and holiday treats
