This is really inspiring! But did you really do all this in just 10 months time? I'm jealous but know I'll get there eventually. Hope my belly turns out as good as yours did. Can you elaborate on any workout regimen you followed...?2

It is possible. I’m 8 weeks in and the choices are important. Food intake is key.

Wow, nice work in just 2 months time. I consistently watch my calories and stay under (with a deficit) which I know is working. What else do you recommend as for food intake? Obviously more plant based foods and a higher protein may be called for I assume. Care to tell what your go-to foods are (or have been) over the last 8 weeks?0 -

Yeah sure so I kept to around 1300 cals with low sugar, bread and avoided pasta and starchy stuff. Plenty of protein rich meals. Combined with being a gym regular, just 4-5 30 min sessions a week, a blend of cardio and weights focussing more on tecnique than lifting heavy weight. Diary is key and keeping up the intensity in workouts. So worth it5 -

I’ve done a number of things ever the last 2 months.
1. Cut out bread and starchy carbs entirely. Cut down carbs massively and get my sugars from veg, fruit etc. Every now and then l’ll have new potatoes but cold. (That matters!)
2. My breakfast every day is a smoothie made with zero fat Greek yoghurt, a banana, celery, a carrot, frozen berries and often whatever veg is in the fridge such as spinach. I now have protein supplement too.
3. My morning coffee and every other coffee is now sugar free. I have halved the milk too.
4. I’ve stopped drinking alcohol in the week. I now allow myself one day a week. My cheat day food wise is also the day after.
5. I did 5:2 twice a week in the beginning.
6. I see a personal trainer 3 times a week who is just brilliant.
7. I kayak and paddle board 2/3 times a week.
8. Stopped eating crap. My focus is 404020 and 180g of protein a day. I eat lean and clean. For example, rather than a sandwich when I am out and about, I buy cooked turkey and tomatoes and eat just that. Much nicer.
9. Plan and monitor. It’s a bit of an obsession but it’s working.
Lots more but I have been strict. I have had to bin my entire wardrobe.
I’m not done yet. I’m taking 6 months in total to get into shape and then maintainanance.6 -
Wow!! You did so well. Great job0

Kayakerjoe,
Did you cut out flour snd sugar completely?
I have been reading that even coconut snd almond flour are bad since thebody processes in the same way as regular refined flour. Fruits are ok but anythg else with sugar is bad. Pl share your strategy on these 2 items2 -
Fab work- you look amazing!0

Yes. I get my carbs from fruits and veg only. In 3 months I’ve had bread about 6 times. Pasta none.
I do have a cheat day each where I can have a beer and a couple of pizza slices etc.
