I'm 41 yrs old, have 5 kids and need to drop 40 lbs. Been trying off and on for 2 yrs to lose but haven't got really serious until the last couple weeks. I have gave up in the past when I don't see immediate results so my goal is to NOT weigh or measure but once a month. I plan to accomplish my goal this time and need some accountability friends. I could use tips, food ideas and whatever else is helping you on your journey.

I think you're going about this the right way. Once a month weigh-ins means you'll likely see progress everytime and that's encouraging. Measuring helps too like you said. I've got 130 to lose so I'm in this for the Long haul. I intend to make this my life choice (to eat healthy) and not just a temporary diet fix. I'm 48 so any weight loss is progress at this age. Kudos to you for nipping it in the bud early on.

Im with ya. Try try again. Im trying to take it slow and steady. For now, not eating past 8 pm and staying within my calorie goals daily is how ive started. I beleive in not weighing everyday but once a week keeps me in check.
I want to lose 25 lbs and maintain it this time.
    We can do this !!
