For the first time in over 25 years my heel spur has started acting up. Which means I have to stay off of it for a bit. No zumba for me. Noooooo. That's my go-to exercise three times a week. So instead of getting depressed, I opted to get to the gym and actually do some strengthening on the circuit. Ooh my aching body, but boy does it feel good to stay on track.33

I realised today reading a post in another thread that every time I accidentally catch sight of myself in a mirror—say, on an escalator in a department store, in a shop window, etc., as opposed to intentionally looking at myself—I'm pleasantly surprised at the view. I don't always look awesome but the issue these days is that I look old or tired or something. I realised that every time I used to see myself it was invariably an 'Ugh!' reaction because I didn't realise my stomach was that big, my double chin so intransigent, etc. I don't even have neutral reactions these days, just 'better than I thought' every time!28

Yep...twas I!
My backside is the bane of my life, whether in my current shape or when I was obese. Felt like it was back there secretly snacking no matter what....hard to believe the one in the photo belongs to me!

I had to buy a smaller band for my fitbit. Always thought I had a 'big frame' (and I'm 5'11") but apparently not. My wrist measures 6 inches now.18

Someone just said "gurrrrrlll...what are you doing!? You have been looking so awesome. What is your secret? Maybe I should eat oatmeal every day!?"
While it embarrassed me for a little bit, I just smiled at her, showed her the app, and said thank you.
Not going to lie, it now makes me smile a bit now after the initial embarassment. I still have 70 lbs. to go, but, dayumn....I am starting to look better!32 -
Packing for a weekend in Vegas and got a little weepy....no longer worrying about having shirts that cover my ars. and in went the little black dress with no body shaper that makes me blue in the face when I sit down. The hits keep coming!34

I've graduated from "Have you lost weight?" To "Dang, you've lost alot of weight!" When I see people that I haven't seen in awhile. Lol.
I'm officially the smallest I've been in my adult life, and almost lighter than I was in high school.38 -

Had to punch another hole in my favorite belt. When I started, my waist was 10 cm thicker.
Had a conversation about my weightloss with an older friend (she's 71, I'm 50). She asked me, what my ultimate goal was, and I told her it was 73 kg (I'm currently at 79,3 kg), like back when I was 21. She adamantly told me that at "our" age, it doesn't suit us to have a body like a teenager, and anyways, getting back to that weight is impossible, and I should be happy with what I achieved so far. My NSV? I just smiled and nodded instead of arguing with her.32 -
I have hip bones!
From UK size 20 to a size 14!
I can cross my legs 😂
My partner actually said to me he can see my jawline now and I have a face separate from my neck 😂33 -

I so identify with this! At 62 I am having a bit of a debate with myself about the right weight for me to stop. At the moment I have settled on 147lbs but will review as I go. Not for someone else to tell you when to stop - unless those who love you are genuinely concerned - at that point ask a doctor.15 -
I saw myself in a video the other day and noticed a shadow on one side of my face (the side facing the camera) I ran to a mirror - concerned that I was developing liver spots (well quite a big patch really) but didn't really see anything. Asked hubby who agreed there were shadows. Worriedly I asked him if my face had dropped (even more ) or whether it was lopsided. He laughed and pointed out that I now have cheekbones - with shadowing underneath them. I am officially a twit!29

I fit into my dragon dress!!! I’ve been carrying this dress around multiple countries I’ve lived in for a LONG time lol -
I’ve been doing lots of weights so it actually looks slightly better than it originally did on when I bought it 6 years ago despite the fact that I’m currently 10kg heavier (the importance of muscle mass!)
It’s currently the wrong season so all things going to plan it’ll look banging by the time I get to wear it out as I’ll have even more muscles and less fat! 💪26 -

I so so very much regret ditching my white Levi's 501 dragon pants last December! I lugged them around for almost 20 years, and when I cleaned out my wardrobe, I finally decided enough is enough, and I won't ever fit in them again anyways. I would love to try them on now.

Exercise is becoming something I look forward to instead of dread! I’ve found classes I love. I’m getting stronger and I can see my body changing. Feeling proud of myself!25

Oh noooo - do levi still make them? Not quite the same though with new ones is it? The only reason I kept this dress is that it’s a Karen Millen so cost far too much when I bought it6
