What's Your Most Recent NSV

Eight weeks ago I had serious, major abdominal and internal surgery. I followed that up with an infection that landed me back in hospital. I wasn't well.
Today I finished a 55 minute fast walk with a ten minute run. No pain. Just pure joy. I could have kept going but knew I needed to draw the line and not over-do it.
Not sure whether my NSV was the run, or finally understanding my own limits 😂39 -

I think both are important, but understanding your own limits much more so!

A couple...
Yesterday was my last 5k of 2018. I've run three this year, I including my first in June. Because of the weather, it also turned into my first mud run! Which meant there wasn't very much running...
So after I got home, I went back out out and started Couch to 10k, which is my goal for 2019.
Part of the 5k package was a hoodie. I picked my size months ago, when I was at my lowest weight and expected to lose more. I've gone up about 10lbs since... and the medium fits nicely! Little snug right at the midsection, but this is how the large fit just a few months ago.
So a couple NSVs, and a despite-the-scale victory!
Yesterday was the boost I needed getting back on the fitness track.26 -
I put on my boots for the first time this year, and they zipped up nice and easily over my calf 🤩 in the past I could get them to zip up if I was careful, but I often left the last inch open for comfort23

My calves are theone place where I'm absolutely not losing anything. It's very annoying!6 -

I have rather robust calves as well. The first time I lost, I went from not being able to wear tall boots to at least being able to wear wide-calf ones (at a bmi of 25!)8 -
I competed at USAPL Nationals and took seventh in my age/weight. And had a meet PR on my squats.26

I left all the weights on when I left our [home] "gym" on Friday night 'cause I was just beat and when my husband walked by he said, "Holy *kitten*! You DL'd that?!"
And yes, yes I did.
I finally DL'd more than my bodyweight and while I was super excited about it, hearing him tell me he was proud of me made it even more exciting26 -
I guess this would lean more towards a scale victory. But today weighed in at 249.5 lbs (started at 288.5) but for the first time in what seems like forever - I am closer to the 200 mark on the scale as opposed to the 300 mark!35

I'm wearing size 28/34 jeans. And it's not just this one brand that happens to have weird sizing. This really is my size now. Used to be 32/34.
Edit: silly European me, I thought these sizes were pretty American (they're inches!). But to translate: I guess I went from a 10/12 to a 4/6, tall.27 -
150 days logged today!
The last time I was on MFP about 150 days was all I needed to get to goal. This time I'm not even halfway there (the distance is twice as long ), but I am *almost* halfway there, and I am still going strong! 💪26 -
How about a bad NSV?
My wife lost weight and her fingers got smaller so now she has lost her wedding ring.
She is not happy right now and we are tearing the house apart looking for it.32 -
I ran my first 10K yesterday! I finished toward the back to the pack, but I did it and I felt great when I finished!24

Good luck. A couple of years ago, I had lost a bunch of weight and knew my finger was getting thinner. I was throwing recyclables into a container at a collection center and lost my ring -never did find it.12 -

I've been looking forward to this one: no sock marks on my legs today after work.28

I've been trying to figure out where the 40lbs I've lost since February have gone from since I havent gone down in pant size. After kneeling on a hardwood floor for a couple minutes I've realised it all came from my knees. Ow33

That is why I quit wearing mine, didn't want this to happen. It lives in the jewelry box now, I wear silicone ones.5 -
My smaller clothes fit again! Such a nice feeling:)20
-
Today it's too cold for short sleeves so I hauled out the clothes I put away last spring to do a seasonal swap-over and found most of what I had doesn't fit anymore. This is a real NSV since I have been mostly in maintenance this whole time and haven't lost more than a few pounds, but my clothes all fit differently.
I also put away several things which didn't fit me even then, but I wasn't used to my new size and was afraid I would regain weight, so I wasn't ready to let go of those things yet. Last spring I was still dressing like a fat person - full tunics to cover my bulges, etc. Over the summer I've learned that I can wear clothes that fit and look good in them.26 -
Does need not eating junk food for half a day count as an nsv? Hoping to do this for another six days straight28

Oh my goodness....
My hips & thighs have been on the shrink recently so I decided to see how far my husband's jeans would go up on me.
This is not a drill, they go on, fasten & despite being too long they look pretty good...they're a size 30 waist!! My waist measured 39 inches when I began this journey last year...hips were 52 inches....this is madness!
Honestly tempted to pinch them, man pockets are SO deep!
He's suggesting a unisex section in the wardrobe haha! "Are you wearing our jeans today?"38 -

Yep...twas I!
My backside is the bane of my life, whether in my current shape or when I was obese. Felt like it was back there secretly snacking no matter what....hard to believe the one in the photo belongs to me!
Haha, I know right?? I'm convinced it's developed a conscious brain & sneaks all sorts of goodies! What other explanation could there possibly be for 2 clothing size differences between top half & bottom half? I'm in control of the top half but the derriere simply isn't upholding it's end of the bargain9 -

I have the opposite problem - no hips/bum and too much top. They are now on the run but it has taken forever for dresses to fit! 🤣🤣5 -

Thanks for reminding me... I nipped in to a local jewellers to enquire about getting mine resized. And they did it for free! (probably helps that the shop manager has lost a lot of weight too)10 -

Haha! Ahh, it's so strange how all of our bodies are so different!
I've got through the grief of my boobs going down 2 cup sizes....I'm quite grateful as it means I can get smaller dresses that look good on top & hide the snacking derriere rather well. (Love me an A-line!)
Feel your pain so much though because with certain cuts, bottom half looks great but top half is too baggy & makes me look larger than I am. Fashion is the enemy, for sure!5 -

A classic NSV - I fit into an old favorite dress that I had grown out of. I'm glad I didn't get rid of it now. Eventually it's going to become too big, so I'm going to enjoy it now while I can!18

1. I ran a mile all the way through!
2. I ate without tracking or wearing my fitbit at my friend's wedding (which I was happily standing up in) and was able to get right back on track the next day. This was a huge step for me because I felt like I was becoming a little obsessive about my weight loss and activity goals. It was a nice breather and I proved to myself that I can stay on track even after a bad day of eating, which in the past would've derailed me!35
