Calories burned

I use a mini stepper 2 hours daily and my fitbit states that I burn about 90-100 cals every 15 minutes. My legs are usually hurting or numb after 45 mins or 1 hour so I guess I am doing some effort. But is it possible that I burn that amount of calories?

Your legs may be hurting or numb because that's not an appropriate exercise for you.

To answer your question:
Yes, it is absolutely possible (and likely) that you burnt this amount of calories.
While not exactly precisely measuring, modern fitness-trackers have become quite good in calculating the burnt calories (given that you chose the correct parameters (gender, age, weight, height, etc).
Please take into consideration the questions of @TavistockToad and @Machka9 too.
While it is widely accepted to feel tired after an intense workout and have a slight soreness of muscles on the next day, "Pain" and "Numbness" usually are no good signs for an efficient workout.3 -

i don't get that, apart from after a race. sounds pretty miserable being sore every day though?0 -

You never get DOM'S? I'm sore pretty much every day due to bad hips/legs which run in my family too much exercise makes it worse but so does 0 exercise so I'm constantly walking a fine line trying to find a balance2 -

i get DOMS if i do something new, or don't keep up to my strength training, but i don't get it day to day from my normal running/cycling/lifting routine, no.3 -
Yeah, DOMS only happens if I do a whole lot more than usual.
On Tuesday I ran 7 km for the first time since January ... no DOMS because I've been running regularly anywhere between 2 and 6 km for several weeks. But if I had got it into my head that I was suddenly going to run 15 km, I might have had DOMS!!
In fact, I felt really good after that 7 km run. I felt like I'd done some exercise, but no pain or numbness.1
